good enough to directly compete with command & conquer 3. a lovely blend of war of the worlds, independence day and star wars. it is a must have for single play rts.
I bought this game only knowing it was a RTS, so i didn`t think it would compare to Command and Conquer 3, and it doesn`t. At first the graphics look amazing, but that doesn`t make up for the un-realistic battles that take place. Battlefields are too "clean" and so are the units. CAC3 creates a believable array of units and weapons, but Universe at war is just too "pretty" not really intended for real RTS fans.
At first I thought to my self, how can they throw you in the deep end like that with a hand full of humans and enemy units all around but once you get into it its gets better and better. Glad I was one of the first to get it. A definite look up for RTS fans.
This game is enjoyable to play but still not quite C&C. This game has stunning visuals though due to it being three alien factions. Final note it's a sega game that works perfectly, unlike The Club.
The fact that you have to have to have windows live(which you have to pay for) to be able to play online is the only thing bad about this game
