I used to run The Sims on my old PC (back in the day), with it struggling to run the game and often crashing. Thought it would be nice to relive it on my new Mac, and it's great, definitely bought out my inner house developer and general dreamer again.
I don't understand why Play.com is charging so much for it, came here first during my great big shop around but £52 is a bit steep when Apple Direct is cheaper :-S.
Anyway, definitely makes me feel encouraged to buy The Sims 3... Will need to add another 1gb of RAM to my iMac though, maybe in the future...
I would recommend The Sims Complete Collection for Mac, but if you have already played it on a PC remember, it's the same thing for a Mac, great for switchers, not so great for people with both platforms.
Better off with Sims 2

This game was the mother to Sims 2, but i believe that if you are going to buy this game you might aswell by Sims 2 which is more advanced and better game over all or just wait untill about january 2009 and i believe Sims 3 is coming out! Still a good game, but not as good as its sequel the Sims 2!

I feel that this is the most addictive game in the free world... it ironically takes your freedom away from you because you are effectively a sims slave once you begin to play... I challenge ANYONE to go on the Sims and not get addicted.... go on.... I DARE YOU!
For Mac only |
