This game has been out a wile now, but Ive been at a lan all weekend and we must have played 20 hours of this game.
on a local network against your mates its the best PC game for years.
No lan support in Modern Warfare2 was unforgivable and its was just lazy on Activision's part.
If i could give it more than five stars I would and at the current price its a no brainer.

What kind of name is Soap anyway?

Brilliant, its a fantastic game. Call of duty 4: Modern Warfare set the mark for which all future FPS would have to meet. The single player level design is fantastic, the multiplayer is stunning.
the down side is that the single player is also a bit short. And when you reach level 55 in the multiplayer then you've reached the limit.
The multiplayer gets abit boring afterwards, but the single player finds ways to stay fresh.
Definatley worth getting, if you dont have this in your collection add it now!

  Best FPS out there

Indeed this is the best FPS until today. Solid but short single player campaign, but AWSOME multiplayer. Its the best of the COD franchise (cod2 comes prety close as it's also a top notch game), specially in terms of the multiplayer side. Provides for the most competitive oriented multiplayer matches in fps world today, mainly due to dedicated servers and moding ability.

5 out of 5

This game is one of the most great fps ever. It has a great story-line in SP and a MP is even better! A definite must have! I just now wish to buy cod 6 which continues with this story line :)

5 stars cause they deserve it :D

This game is awsome for the pc because, theres free online aswell as ps3 i got rid of my xbox 360 version because it was costing me about £15 every 3 months to play it on xbox live but why do that? When you can play it all for free on a computor

Definately the best modern war shooter out there for any platform!

Been a fan of the Call of Duty series since the start but they seem to keep getting better. Moving from a WW2 based game (COD1 & 2) to modern warfare was a good move for the developers. This is well worth a purchase at this price and i still prefer it to the newer edition to the series - World at War.

Must have for any FPS lover!

  Top shelf material

I was awed by this game, it features some of the most mind blowing graphics I have seen, and has an engaging and explosive storyline. There is a vast array of real world weaponry, and the 2 parallel storylines work very well together, as Capt. Price carries the day. The multiplayer is one of the best, with an addictive ranking system, and plenty of weapon modifiications and perks to keep your options open. It was an adrenaline filled ride of mammoth proportions.!
