Review

2326, Civil War erupts. Rival gangs form an ultra-violent street sport league called Speedball 2 to settle their deadly disputes. This sport quickly becomes popular, but without any rules or regulations, also more dangerous. 10 years later, Speedball has become the national sport and the teams are now professional and sponsored by well-know brands.

Two teams face each other in bloody battles for a steel ball. 9 on 9, in an all-out rush on the opponents goal, almost any malicious move is permitted. The winner of all the matches secures supremacy over the city.

I've got 4 different joypads and jotsticks, not a single one will work with this game. If you don't like using your keyboard, then don't bother buying it.

As for support, unless you can read German, it ain't worth the web page it's printed on. Truly terrible.

Which is all a shame because other than that, it's a good game and I'm a big fan of the old version.

"Speedball 2 - Tournament" is possibly the worst game I have ever (tried) to play. It is truly
horrendous and completely ruins the memory of the original game. Speedball is one of the few games
I remember playing, on the Amiga as a child, and I have been wating for a decent remake for most of
my life. Thankyou for ending my wait. I will not look foward to the forth-coming sequel
"Speedball 3 - Bankrupt".

I used to play Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe on the Amiga 500 and loved it, so when I saw this was coming out I bought it on the day of release. However, I cannot seem to get my USB controller working on this game and am having to play with the keyboard which really takes some of the fun out of it.

The makers of the new game haven't over complicated things and have left a lot of the old teams in the game (from nearly 20 years ago) which brings back fond memories, but what I would give to have my old Amiga back...

For Speedball fans only, can't see people who didn't play the original playing this for long.
