Ok, people below me you can't lower the rating because your computers won't play the game..
I love TS2 and this EP doesn't sound so great, right? But it is! This expansion pack ties up the loose ends for me, things that you've always wanted in TS2.
When your sim grows up you can choose a townie friend to grow up with them, sims have more of a personality now - your restaurant owning sims can be interested in cuisine (for example) and toddlers have more to do.
Good points:
* teaching toddlers to sing a nursery rhyme, major cute when they sing it back
* new items
* having the pre-destined interest gives you something to look for, you don't know what your sims are naturally interested in until you have them do something related to the subject (EG: watch the cooking channel, fix a car - they are cool too once you've finished and they're usable..or sellable - and the sim tells you they enjoyed it)
* new things to do - play football, pottery, fix up cars, ballet
* new careers
* the aspiration benefits - you can spend benefit points on things such as having needs deteriorate slower, being able to plead for your children if the social worker comes, being able to plead for your job back a day after being fired
* new neighbourhood, pre-mades and some nice houses that are less than 20,000 simoleans =]
* toddlers can draw pictures and you can put their scribbles on the wall xD
* also with aspiration benefits you can choose a secondary aspiration which means you can have Wants that relate to two aspirations (EG: have a knowledge sim with a secondary aspiration as fortune)

Bad points:
* when you do something related to a hobby (EG: if you needed mechanical points for a promotion, you get lots of phone calls saying 'we see you're interested in tinkering...etc' and it can get quite annoying if you like your sims to be good at everything (like me) but it's alright

SecuROM affects a minority of people, some people have blown it completely out of proportion. It has affected mainly newer pre-built computers and it is extremely unlikely to kill you're computer like some people try to make out. I've not had ANY problems with it.

So, 5 stars! I actually think this EP is a must have.

 Brilliant!

I think this is one of the best expansion packs for the sims 2. You get so many new clothes and you get at least 4 new professions as well as all new stuff to help you gain skill points. You have a whole new neighbourhood and hangouts and i would definatley say you HAVE to get this pack

I bought this at the same time as Bon Voyage when I was getting a bit fed up of the same old same old sims, and they have totally revamped my love for this game! Free time is fab, it keeps you interested, collecting the enthusiam points is really satisfying and your sims are generally much happier and easier to please. Going on the pottery wheel etc is a lot more fun that just sitting them in front of the tv non stop. Honestly would say this and Bon Voyage are the best expansions to date...well worth it!!!!!!
