Football Manager. Always.

Football Manager is the best-selling, most realistic football management series ever made. Football Manager 2013 celebrates 20 years of games from the people at Sports Interactive by introducing an array of new features.

This year's version allows you to take control of any club in more than 50 nations across the world and includes all of Europe's biggest leagues as well as database of over 500,000 real-world players and staff.

As well as some landmark new features in the Career Mode, there are now new ways to enjoy your Football Manager experience.
  • New to Career Mode:
  • Match Engine
  • The 3D match engine has seen huge improvements this year. Everything on the pitch looks more realistic
  • from the stadiums, the players' movement, intelligence, and the way the ball moves through the air.
  • We've also introduced hundreds of new animations to make the game feel more realistic and we've made the whole experience more televisual by introducing new camera angles and showing the kick-off and final whistle
  • New ways to play:
  • Classic and Challenge Modes
  • Football Manager Classic is a less time-consuming way to enjoy Football Manager. The essence of the game is exactly the same - the manager still takes charge of a squad of players and competes at whatever level he or she chooses - but they will now find that a number of their responsibilities have either been taken over by their support staff or have disappeared completely.
  • For example, while the player still takes charge of training in FMC, this is carried out at a 'full team' level only - there's no individual player training. And when it gets to matches themselves, there are no team talks or opposition reports... you just go straight to a game using the same 3D match engine as Career Mode. The games are played out in a quicker 'highlights only' fashion, but you can even speed this up by going straight to 'Instant Result'.
  • Players who opt for Football Manager Classic will also find that they have a couple of further options in terms of how they play the game - they can either play a full open-ended 'Career' or they can choose to play in the new 'Challenge' mode
  • In Challenge mode they'll find themselves in a particular situation which will test their management skills over a shorter game time - usually half a season. Can you win a trophy with a team consisting almost entirely of kids? Or could you guide your club to safety despite being bottom of the table at Xmas?
  • We first introduced Challenge Mode in Football Manager Handheld 2012 and it proved to be so popular that we've decided to include it in FMC too.
  • The game will come with four free-to-play challenges, each of which feeds in to a global leaderboard
  • Network Play
  • The brand new Network Play is fully integrated with Steam's network functionality which means that players should be able to set up and enjoy games against their friends far more easily than before

What we've come to expect from the Football Manager series with the added bonus of FM Classic which makes the game so much faster with not having to mess about with press conferences etc which do bog the full version of the game down at times. FM Classic allows you to play a season in about 4 hours, taking the Sports Interactive series back to the speedy glory days of CM 01/02!

 Not Great

I used to LOVE the old LMA Manager sims on the playstation, so as they stopped making those I decided to give this a whirl. Much poorer graphics, game goes on for too long, can't really make out what's going on. No point in having tactics as players don't seem to listen, they just run around not even making hardly any tackles!

Please bring back LMA Manager, much more entertaining, enjoyable and realistic

Why do they insist on changing the layout of every single FM, you just get used to way the previous year is set up and boom they change everything again. this game is so unrealistic, i picked man city and every team outplays you, you cant keep clean sheets no matter what you do with your formations and defence, they are concentrating way too much on interaction with press and board and im sorry this gets so boring after a while, back to 2012 edition for me. very poor

The last time I buy this game...

This game is terrible....Ive bought and played the FM series since the early 2000s. The last good version was the 2008 2009 series every since then its been getting worse and worse....This installment has a whole range of seriously ridiculous faults. I started a game as 1 of the top European sides brought in world class players and was getting my backside handed to me week in week out not just off lower in my league teams but also lower league teams. I had at least 1 goal disallowed EVERY game at least half a dozen yellow cards sometimes 1 or 2 red cards per game even though my tackling was set at default and a 3 or 4 month injuries for my best players strikers never seemed too far away. Im not new to the series I
ve played this for over a decade but I gotta say this is my last 1 this is the most unrealistic and purely stressful FM manager game Ive ever played even the little things like telling a player hed done well to score 2 goals in the last game would be replied with him saying yours and my opinion on my goal scoring is very different to which Id have to apologize to him for complimenting him. When watching a game your players still do really stupid things even though their meant to be world class players this has been a major problem for years which every time they claim to have improved only once again they havent. I could go on and on but in conclusion dont waste your time this game is no longer worth your money or your health....

 What have they done?

First of I bought a new laptop this xmas a Samsung one pretty good, this game is so slow you can click the button 5 seconds till anything happens.
My old laptop was pretty old and last year game run fine.
They have changed the layout and it looks childish and its made for kids.
I have been playing football manager and championship manager for 16 years now and this is the worst one.
Sad face!
