Difficult yes - but not impossible

I was really looking forward to this - and have to say I am disapointed at some things but not others.

The control system is annoying - why they couldn't be consistant is beyond me - the diving is pointless as is the table tennis (I cannot see through graphics) and sadly the Judo which I was looking forward to.

The running events are difficult but coming from an era of button bashing this is to be expected - some of the sports are realatively easy - Javelin for example and even the swimming...the worst part is not knowing when the gun is going to go off..but then that's part of the sport.

As for PC controllers - I thought the same thing that mind did not work so I did buy a 360 controller only to discover the same problem...so the controllers do work - just not very well!

YOU NEED TO BUY AN XBOX 360 CONTROLLER

Got this game today installed fine on vista , only problem is it will NOT work with pc controllers . you must use a microsoft xbox 360 for windows controller .played the game using my keyboard and found it very hard and frustrating. Looks like they are just trying to cash in on pc users by getting you to buy a 360 controller.

         Amazing and Challenging Game!!!!

When I recieved this game I just could'nt gain any speed on the track, no matter how fast I taped the buttons or waggled the sticks. I started adjusting the game options and for some reason when I put the graphics level down to low it fixed all the problems. After that I was as fast as any athlete on the track beatting them with times under 9 seconds in the 100m. Great game for people who like button bashing games!!

         great fun.

firstyl im giving this a 5 becuase i already have 2 wireless 360 pads and receiver. i cant imagine how bad it would be with keyboard controls, keyboard just doesnt go with button bashing to be honnest. if you have the pads buy it if not then maybe get the 360 version if you have a 360 too, very fun game overall , especially multiplayer with mates, online is laggy and single player modes are ok for a while. ps im glad that newer pc games are now using 360 pads, especially sports ones. so much better to use and quicker

         Beijing 2008 is rubbish

Brought the game, then realised i needed a 360 controller. Brought that, and could not get the controller to work.
If the game is for PC then you should be able to use any controller.
        Think it's a rip off!!!
