With literaly the entire gaming world waiting bord for the next bf21/cod4/bioshock game to arrive and inject fun into gaming again, i bought this sadly expecting the worse ( another wolfenstien) but apart from the anoying windows/xbox live sign up you have to go through im realy enjoying this game, blowing things up, walloping people withthe sledge hammer, just isnt getting old for me, maybe i like to break things a bit to much! This game is fun, the story is enjoyable, and you get to mess around where ever you want to explore between or during missions, realy enjoying it. Buy it it will entertain you till the next cod/bf/bio-shock comes out

Take it from an oldskool gamer - THIS GAME ROCKS

Firstly RFG, needs to be appreciated on its own merits. Its a beautiful game in a strange martian way. It is not GTA but on Mars, granted though the structure of the game is similar but the action and playability KILLS GTA.

If you like FPS games then RPG will not dissappoint. The controls are tight, the guns feel proper and deadly. Also we have reached a point in technology where the Red Faction's game main feature (destructable scenery) is well realised and the physics engine running the game makes all decisions count and extremely fun.

You can approach a mission any which way you want and the outcome id always different. The AI is good, not the best but certainly good enough to keep you engrossed. Its not dumb like GTA NPC's. Also its worth noting that for people who like being stealthy and infiltrating a base, RFG is not one of those games where the enemy can determine you're a threat when you're over 100m away, you have to be acting stupid for them to open fire - unlike the hawkish enemies in Far Cry 2 for example. This dynamic alone opens up a huge prospect of opportunities and along with your trusty sledgehammer with 2 types of swings for deadly combos, you can dispatch your foes silently and plan meticulously on how you're going to bring down an entire base. The battles are FANTASTIC and if you have a decent enough rig to run the game on you will occasionally sit back in awe at the massacre and sheer madness unfolding on your screen.

The game engine is also very forgiving with vehicles and allows you to generally climb to the highest martian mountain top to gain a great vantage point.

Without doubt this is one of the best games i have played all year, Its fun, combat is as good as Gears and the added destructional environments really make up for a tactical mind. Whatsmore, if you love the film Total Recall, this game lets you be Quaid! I'm serious! Buy it you won't be dissappointed, but your girlfriend maybe!

               Must Have Game !!

This game stinks of action through and through. I got this as an early xmas present and ive completed it already cause it was such fun to play. Basically it plays very much like gta but in this game you can destory everything. Not only are you to go from mission to mission but you can be interrupted by live missions that happen on the spot. this element makes it feel more realistic and makes you think your actually in a live war. Some of the missions are amazingly intense and full of live action ! Its just simply an amazing game everyone must play.

               you must buy

              To good to pass
              fun to destroy all buildings
              big open space
good story even on the demons of the badlands
multiplayer combat can be better but still fun
a lot of the time you have to think befor you attack
only thing i dont like that much is that the buildings dont respawn after completing it

               Brilliant Game!

This game ticks all boxes, it's got a storyline to follow but you just swan off and blow up anything whenever you see fit. The graphics on it are immense (subject to right GPU)! Haven't had so much fun playing a game since GTA3 came out (when it was a breakthrough).

100% Recommend, especially at this price!
