Final Fantasy XI Online: 2008 Edition

This is the MMO to play! You can choose from countless jobs and change between them as you see fit, so there's no need to make several characters. It is packed with quests and missions with a good storyline just as you'd expect from a Final Fantasy game.
It has one of the best MMO comunities thanks to the great efforts the producer has put in it to fight cheating and RMT, as well as constantly adding to the game experience.
After six years it's still going strong. Truly a must-buy if you're into MMO games.

Final Fantasy XI is a good game, or at least it was 2 years ago. Nicely done graphics, a lot of jobs to level, from warrior to dancer, and many many missions. The music is pretty good too.
The craft system is good, but requieres a lot of money and the ability to travel from city to city.

However, this game is too slow, and will take months ( sometimes years ) before you achieve anything, like taking the job to its max. level, completing any of the expansions or completing a set of equipment , which is just frustrating and not enjoyable. Keep in mind that this game requieres a lot of time.
I think that its important to stress this enough because this game is not like Wow, where you can solo your way to 70, then make a group and get things done fast. You need a lot of people in FFXI to do anything!

This game is already too old to start playing. New players will find themselves in a very big world withouth people to play with. It's nearly impossible to find parties to level up at lower levels 10-50, ( I would say that 85% of the server population is high level with many jobs leveld ), and of course, there's no other way than partying and making groups to gain levels( you need 6 persons to make this possible). Soloing is out of the question, is just atrocious, and much worse for newbies.

So my final words are stay out of this game, or at least buy the 6 € trial for 30 days, and then decide if you want to waste your time with this game.

Its an amazing game. Best played with lots of friends and a good communicty but it is incredibly time consuming.

Interesting none the less.

I dont get it you people review this game as the best ever and u rate it a 4 get with the program this is by far the greatest game to ever hit the gaming work since super mario back in the hay days of nintendo final fantasy is the greatest the best the 5 star of them all the game to be copyed the game to be beaten wow is hacker cheats heaven its a worth american made load of junk in my eyes 11 million ppl play 11 million ppl beat it by cheating so no thanks to wow final fantasy all the way till my death bed i will always love and always play final fantasy game till the day i die im a gamer hard core need its a 5 star and a 10/10 for me every singel release go square enix you are boss ....
