Almost as slow and boring as FIFA 08. PES 2008 was too easy, if you had Rooney, Ronaldo, Kaka, Eto etc you could beat the entire opposition. Now they seem to have gone to the complete extreme, for example at the start of a match, Ronaldo, full energy bar is beaten for pace by Sami Hypia???? The so called improved computer intelligence is now worse than 08. The game is based around defending, even teams like Arsenal and Barca defend with 10 men behind the ball on the their 6 yard line, whereas at least PES 08 was an attacking minded game. This makes it very boring and frustrating if you are wanting to play a decent game of football, especially if you have a cheeky free 20mins. Others may find this type of game enjoyable, if you like attacking, free flowing football stay clear. One massive improvement from 08 is the graphics. Need to combine aspects of 08 and 09 together for PES 10.

The game is better than PES 2008 ma the online mode really sucks. It is hard to make a decent match online. PES 6 online mode was perfect while 2009 online is two or three steps backwards. Even pes 4 online mode (the first) wiht no server and direct IP to IP connection was better and less laggy.
The offline game isn' t bad but it is not one of the best pro evolution/winning eleven. Some animatons are really weird (like the 90 degress movement) and dribbling is too easy especially with some players. Even a child can fool half of your team with Messi, C. Ronaldo, Cassano or even Foggia and Aimar.
