Well, were to start with this game, we have various classes to choose from the start, initially you could pick from a number of classes, including the burglar, champion, minstrel, guardian, lore-master, the hunter, and the captain, with the expansion which is included in this game, you can now play as a warden or a rune-keeper, the new expansion which is included in this pack is great value for money, a fantastic game,

Adds a massive ammount of content, to the allready expansive lands of middle-earth.

This is a game for those that want and expect a long, ardous journey throughout middle-earth, not those that enjoy ganking and throwing their toys out of their pram whenever something happens to come along and beat on them.

There really is so much quality to this game, that i could not possibly begin to put everything in this short review of it, the only thing i can suggest it to try it, there is a 14 day free trial for you to try, if you like it, i definately suggest buying it here you won't find it cheaper anywhere else.

I have previously played Final Fantasy online and WOW, and whilst i liked the more realistic final fantasy, it was very very time consuming and everything had to be done in big groups. i then started playing WOW as friends had advised me to do.. started playing that but after around 2 months found myself getting bored i found it abit.... well childish but it was an improvement in the sence that you could pick it up and play on your own. i then thought i would have a go at LOTRO. now i am lord of the rings fan, so i may be biased, but it seems both realistic and also really easy to play. the classes are really good so much so i havnt actually picked 1 to level up yet, i keep swapping classes every 15 levels or so and really like them all, (which tells me im gonna et addicted to this game quite easily). the graphics are really really good, sometimes the game does lagg a little but not alot and not for very long, overall great game!!

Ive been a fan of RPGs since the days of Atic Atac & Dungeon Master, but this is by far the best of a last field.

Ive never played an MMORPG before and did a little bit of research beforehand. Im so glad i took the plunge. Having played Oblivion and the Neverwinters to death i was looking for a long term challenge, the type of game that takes over your life if you let it, this is that game.

The visuals are incredible, theres no other word for it. The water effects are some of the most realistic ive ever seen and the scenery is vast. The most surprising thing for me was how detailed the draw distance is, you can literally see for miles!

The game play itself can get a little repetitive, but that can be said for almost all RPG type games. Ive been playing for 6 months (mainly at weekends) and managed to get to level 43, the current max of 60 might sound low, but it will take you a while to get there!!

The game world is great, whether you are a fan of Tolkiens world or not, you will still get loads out of the game, including a profession!!

I also need to mention the other players. So far ive not had any issues with snippy or abusive players, everyone seems friendly and helpful when it comes to aiding you in your quests.

If you want to be picky then the lack of a Wizard/Mage class is an oversight but otherwise this is as near a perfect game you are going to get.

I used to play WoW quite a bit and then I decided to take the plunge and this compilation pack. I think the story and lore is better, the graphics are so much better, the gameplay is better and community is much better. Turbine have done a great job in bringing tolkeins world to life. You can visit the shire, bree and prancing pony and with the expansion, you can visit moria!

At least try the free trial, you won't regret it.

A solid MMO and RPG, the community is very friendly and seems on the most part devoid of idiots claiming they will 'pwn' you. The trait system is excellent allowing real in depth customisation to your character, this along with a wide range of classes to choose from makes it an excellent choice for any MMO and RPG lover. The recreation of Middle Earth and the story of the one ring is second to none. For PvP lovers there is Monster V Player mode and for the PvE fan there are a huge amount of quests, dungeons and an epic storyline. The expansion brings on Moria and tonnes of new content of which the legendry weapon system is a highlight.

The graphics are outstanding for an MMO, on a high end rig and DX10 support the game world just looks outstanding, even on lower end systems the game looks great and runs well, server connections are also extremely stable and the servers are very active with many Kinships. Miss this at your peril, a real gem.
