How a games publisher can launch a racing game in 2009 with no support for wheels (I use a G25) is beyond me. This game requires you to use either the keyboard or an Xbox 360 controller!!!! (why would I have a console controller AND buy a PC game!!!). Lovely graphics, interesting vehicles and terrain, virtually unplayable. Codemaster, you should be ashamed to be associated with this game.
I've no idea what the detractors are talking about when they slate this game. Seriously guys, who plays PC games with a wheel anyway ? As someone lucky enough to play games on all formats, this is certainly not a poor console port. This game is quite the towering achievement of offroad racing games. The graphics are superb (barring a little irritation regarding pop-up scenery), the game area truly immense (I've not tried it yet but judging by my off-road exploration so far, I think it would take at least an hour to drive from one side to the other), the controls are spot on (played with a Xbox360 controller) and there's masses of races and challenges, not to mention multiplayer, to keep you occupied. I prefer this to the motorstorm games even and that's no small feat. Truly an epic title.
Having played quite a few racing games on the PC this has to be the worst I have ever tried to play. Unresponsive controls, very poor graphics and controls. Should we really expect this from games coming out nowadays? Awful.
It looks to be a carbon copy of Motorstorm but for the XBox. Motorstorm and Motorstorm 2 are both excellent games, and seeing as this is pretty much the same, it should be good too.
Also, in the trailer, the thunder sound is exactly the same as the thunder in "Half Past Dead" starring Steven Segal. I was watching both at the same time and they just happened to match! Spooky.
games sick, i tried this game few months b4 it came out, and was brilliant in my opinion, a huge explorable area, nice graphics and exciting racing. Seemed tons of material in it, and a good fast paced game. Yes similar to motorstrom, but far more to it in my opinion!
