The strange thing about this one is that the developers didn't have the rights to the film. This means what we get is a game that bares no resemblance to the film of the same name. There is no likeness to any character, no Christian Bale in voice or face! The story is set before the events in the film and is completely meaningless and incidental. The developers, Grin, also made Wanted: Weapons of Fate recently. If you take the engine from that, remove the cool stuff (slow mo and bending bullets), slap on a new paint job and you have this. A third person shooter that is mediocre at best. Without any real movie ties this falls flat and at about four hours game time should be priced much more reasonably.
Single player : Pretty in places however the scenery does not look to far advanced from games like half life two and there is absolutely no interaction with the suroundings apart from using it as cover. There is very little variety in this game, it is liniar to the point of boredom. You have a choice of only a few weapons and will really only fight four types of enemy in the entire game. The Terminators are only hard to defeat because they take so many hits to put down, they simply walk in to a room and stand spraying ammunition at you until you die or they do, they are neither fast nor inteligent. This game seems to be modeled along the lines of Left 4 Dead but where left for dead was difficult in places, entertaining and fun, this game is not. The single player took less than 5 hours playing time to complete on normal difficulty. Cut scenes are common but not worth writing home about but at least the plot is somewhat believeable. Graphically there is nothing new here and it could be compared with any game released in the last 18 months. There are some fun sections, being the gunner of a buggy firing the mounted grenade launcher as you tear though the streets was fun but like everything in this game far too short. If i can give it one positive point, it didn't crash and appeared to run bug free. Dedicated gamers will be disapointed, in fact I think most people will be disapointed. Maybe the co-op aspects can provide more but i doubt it.
for everyone new to the gaming world take a hint from someone who loves playing games!
when a game has a trailer full of "pre rendered" material - it means the actual game and the quality of the game is so poor - that using it to advertise the actual product is not going to sell them anything. so they make a little computer generated clip instead.
Movie games 99% of the time are a waste and usually always about creating more profit. Made quickly, with little thought or care, and sometimes to tie in with the same release date as the film.
One thing i also hate about Movie games, and this is no exception - is that they always become "copy-cats". i.e. - copying ideas from the games that actually sell, and creating an incredibly cheap rip off.
This game adequetly does justice to the film, the film is poor and the game manages to capture that same quality.
I don't know why this game received so many negative feedbacks... I realy enjoy it. Nonstop action, very good grafics. very realistic action... very, very good game! Don't belive negative feedbacks, just try it your self! ...& works very well on my ACER ASPIRE 6935 laptop!!! I've even play it on my 37 full hd tv, connected to laptop...
