Main gripe about this game is having to sign on to the rockstar club each time to play it, that is after Rockstar told me to switch of my firewall and virus checker. Being on a net work no way I would do this. Three installs at 3/4 hour each, tedious. The only method that worked it to remove Network cable so went into offline mode. This should be an option at start up. The game play is OK if you like long cut scenes, kill a few baddies more long cut scenes. The game never really flows, shame. Almost a big a let down as Duke Nukem Forever.
Ok, yes there are some negatives but nothing major, the logging on to Rockstar is a pain (no pun intended) and the Cut scenes can drag a bit but with a game this big you need the loading time. The game itself is nice to look at and the game play is straight foward and yes, you do just sort of run round and kill bad guys but it is a shoot em up and it is Max Payne but your are following a story so you get what you expect I guess. It's fun, it;s nice to look at, it's smooth, it's has straight foward gameplay and it's well, Max Payne and Bullet Time, what more do you want. Worth the money in my books. 7.9/10
I don't know why people are giving this poor reviews as this is worth at least 4stars. Yes the signing onto rockstars social network is a bit annoying but how many games now don't require you to have the internet to play them. Graphically this is brilliant when compared to the last two max payne games which are old yes, but max payne 3 has some excellent scenery and atmosphere, it also gives you a sense of just how hopeless sometimes maxs battle is throughout the single player story. The story is good and does remind me of some of the old school max payne scenarios in the original 2 remedy games. It is level after level of shoot out bliss which is what max payne games were all about, it is a shooter. Sound is absolutely spot on if you have a good set up, this kicks out some awesome sounds and puts you right in the thick of the fire fight. Overall max payne 3 is a great addition to the series and a worthy sequel one of the best shooters out this year in my opinion.

Your mission: Kill everybody.
Characterless candy floss, has nothing in common with the original Max Paynes except the name and bullet time.
It's difficult only because hordes of enemies jump at you, so the fastest trigger finger wins.
30GB install, yet graphics are very much off the mill.
Most overhyped game this year.
