4 Decent Hard Case for your PS Vita.fastfriday | 09/03/2012 | See all fastfriday's reviews (1)After looking around for a Hardcase to protect my vita on the go I settled on this one by Thrustmaster. There are a few niggles with it but overall I am pleased with it and here's why:The vita system sits flush in its mould and it takes about 4-5 upturned pushes to dislodge the system out of its position. The only problem here is that the base foam is about 0.3cm-0.5cm thick but the sides are really beefy as you can see from the product pics. It doesn't worry me though as the overall build of the case is sturdy. There are 6 slots for game carts although the foam is so thick here that you can easily use a craft knife to deepen them to accommodate 2 game carts and/or memory cards. The foam isn't laser cut so a couple of the slots lets the game carts come out of place when you jostle the case a bit during transit. Do get a full body screen protector for your vita if this issue worries you.The overall build is very sturdy apart from the plastic hinges. Also the plastic slide locks look like they'll wear down over time so the action will become very loose and accidental openings would be possible. This is speculation of course but it's my opinion.Even though it looks like a child's novelty toy/ kids' lunchbox due to the pasticky finish you can't deny the case does it's job admirably. Also the boasted features of wifi whilst enclosed are all true.I think 14.99 is 5.00 too dear but for a sturdy hard case with decent storage options you can't go wrong here.
