Resurrection remains faithful to the original game in terms of plot and gameplay, it remains a swashbuckling tale of redemption on behalf of the games hapless hero Sir Daniel Fortescue, a 13th century knight who took the glory of winning a famous battle, despite having fallen in the first charge. The gameplay is a mix of platforming and hack and slash that hasn't aged one bit. The soundtrack is superb and each track is a remake of the original music, which is a heartwarming blend of classical and gothic music, standout track is Welcome to Gallowmere, which serves as the main theme. However some things have changed, level design has been completely overhauled and new weapons have been introduced, however all are influenced by the original game and are instanlty recognizable to fans of the origingal game. Resurrection is an odd occurrence in the video game industry, a remake that remains faithful the original game but that is different enough to attract new games. 10/10, a solid game perfect for the Playstation Portable.
