What a wonderful collection! If you like side-scrolling shooters, like R-Type, you're gonna love this bundle, featuring five full Gradius games! On a PSP 3004, all games take just a few seconds to load and they work perfectly; I didn't notice a single bug or frame drop even when all hell breaks loose on screen! No fancy cutscenes or video introductions to waste your time, just press start, choose your game from the main menu, wait for 5 seconds and you're ready to play! Well, actually there are some fancy videos but these are kept on a gallery (along with music tracks), separate from the games and you can watch them anytime you wish (no need to unlock them, they're all there right from the beginning). Even the manual is surpsingly good, in full colour and including information about the "plot" and controls of each game. Speaking of controls, they're perfect, just like everything else in this collection: Whether you choose the analog stick or the keys to control your spaceship, they are very accurate and responsive.

The Gradius Collection used to be quite rare and expensive, but luckilly, it has recently been released as part of the "Essentials" budget line and you can pick it up for 10-15 Euros. It's an excellent collection and well worth your money.
