This game is different from most 3rd person shooters as you can aim in first person and also use the gun's sight/scope. This game is much better than the MGS + because it has a story but the the online experience is not as good as MGS+. There is also a decent amount of weapons on the game (20-25). These range from RPGs ,Knives,sub-machineguns,assault rifles, shotguns, pistols and there are also lots of items to collect. There are thermal goggles medikits rations etc.. I recommend this game to all of the people that like infiltration/stealth games.
When the psp first came out and metal gear acid was announced i was exited (along with many others) but was dissapointed to find a turn based stratagy game "/... when this came out though i was sorta thinkin it would be the same... but i was wrong xD... the gameplay is similar to metal gear solid 3: subsistance, the graphics are amazing for a portable. controls are fiddley but easy to get used to...eventually, and the story is fantastic. you finally get some of the backround on some charactors like grey fox and big boss' fox hound unit. the cut scenes are done like comic books and were quite enjoyable. the only major floor i had was tht when recruiting new soldiers you had to drag them all the way back to your truck which can be very time consuming. This game is absolutely brilliant ignore the negative reviews. For fans of mgs you will love this game, it gives a whole new game experience to the series that suits perfectly to the psp, being able to recruit and command your own army is fantastic fun plus another great storyline with intricate details that reveals more information on the more recent metal gear solid games. Its so fun to play and is so appealing being able to play original ps2 mgs graphics onto the psp.
well recommended for all fans - brilliant!
There have been many who felt unsure about the transition of metal gear solid to the psp, but i can assure you that the metal gear games we've all loved and enjoyed to play on the PSone/PS2 have nicely been adapted into this game on the handheld console. A level-by-level structure, amazing comicbook-like cutscenes and voice-over by David Hayter make this an enjoyable experience for all.
