Bought for my son for Christmas and I am very pleased. The delivery service was fantastic, the psp go looks good and is easy to use. It took us a while to figure out how to download the games but my son figured it out! Would definately recommend, a great deal and a great product!

Firsty a big thanks to a previous review from boyimace who advised the process to get the code. Few extra bits you may need to know which caused us some trouble.
When you sign up you have to sign up a master account not linked to anyone else or the promo theme wont show up.
You have to download the theme direct to the PSP not via the software provided for your PC or it doesnt trigger the code email.

Lastly do not bother calling Play.com support as they are useless, the rep I got told me I had to go to my nearest Playstation Store to download the theme - I tried to explain the store is online but they didnt get it (Great product knowledge Play)

Thank fully the Sony Online customer service is great - ring them with any questions and they will help - 0844 736 0595

I couldn't find a black PSP console anywhere but found one here. I ordered it and it came very quickly, which surprised me and so very thankful as it is a Christmas present.
I just want to say that the service is excellent as I got an email the morning it came telling me what time it would be delivered, and that it would be delivered within the hour it stated, and it was! Amazed, even the big stores can't give you that level of attentiveness. Thank you Play.com, very happy.
I bought a tv from a different company, it was a present for my daughter and thankfully she was out as it was uncovered. But the PSP delivered from Play.com was boxed and packaged excellently.
Thanks again. :)

Just received my black PSP Go, first impression is the build quaility, it is excellent, much much better than my wifes Nintendo DS (the hinge broke within a week). Have just registered for the 10 free games and downloaded a couple of free demo's to keep me busy. Onto the fact that you can't use UMD's is the reason why I bought this version, when I'm travelling I don't need the extra space and weight of carrying a shed load of discs, the prices of the games on the PSN also are not that bad at all either. All in all I am very happy with this purchase.

Edit: How to get your free 10 Games

I see that a lot of people are having trouble getting the 10 free games, so here is a simple how to:

1) Open up and register on PSN network (this can be done on the PSP or on your normal PC/Mac) - I can't put the address down on this review as it won't let me, there is a leaflet in the box though with the address on it)

2) Once you've done this enter your PSN login details on your PSP Go, this will then allow you entry to all the downloadable content. What you are looking for is the catergory labelled - Latest
Then find the theme that's called PSP Go Theme

That's it, an email will be sent to the email address that you input to your newly created PSN Network ID, I did mine on Friday night and got the code on the following Monday morning.

Once you receive the code you can then either input the code onto your PSP Go and download the games direct to the machine which is the slow way as it's roughly 10GB worth of freebies, what I did was to use the disc that came with the PSP Go and install MediaGo onto my PC, then I logged into my PSN via that and downloaded onto my PC (much much faster, still took overnight though!) and then transferred over to my PSP Go that way.

Hope this helps people

Downloading the games / movies / music

Hi Guys, have ordered the PSP go and whilst awaiting delivery I have looked into how i am going to download games and movies to the console. This is proving to be extremely hard. When I google this there are lots of website saying FREE DOWNLOADS to the PSP go, is this possible?, I understooed sony had this sowed up so you had to download the games only from their own site. Which brings me to my next point, is it me or is the sony store website really rubbish to use? Also Im a great lover of the older games from the playstation 1 era, i.e Resident Evil, how do I download this as sonys store website only looks to me like it has newish games and even they are limited. Why cant you even get any of the grand thieft auto's from the sony store website either?!?!?!

Would really appreciate if somebody would write an explanation as to how games, movies and music are downloaded to the console. As well as music and DVDs you already own that you would like to put on the console.

Thank you

The psp go is a great console from sony. The prices are reasonable considering sony know if you want a game it will be from the playstation store..... Answer to your question below is yes it is easy to download the games, as long as you have a wireless internet access point. There are no hidden charges at at all, even when you create a psn account its all completly free untill you want a game thats not included in the bundle. All in all the psp go is a great handheld console and im sure you wont be dissapointed.

  HELPPP !!!!
