  Why re-invent the wheel?

Not disappointing but seriously disappointing. Why change an already fantastic format? The top down view takes away the interactive aspect and makes the game more like a kids cartoon! Played...put down...played...put down...left.

  One of the best GTAs...

...and it suits the PSP perfectly! At first I was aprehensive with the top down view, but after giving it an hour or so you soon become hooked. Graphics are very good with varied gameplay and missions. But above all I found the difficulty setting just right, unlike other GTAs where I ended up getting board very soon and just driving around. This is the first GTA I have managed, or actually been interested enough, to complete - taking around 14 hours, including roaming and mini games, in the process. For the money you can't complain at all - I'm not, and I paid 25 notes for it. In my view this game is far better than Vice City!

  Genuinely impressive.

Despite having quite enjoyed the first two GTA PSP games, I wasn't too excited about Chinatown Wars, especially after seeing it make a Nintendo DS appearance.

Just goes to show that first impressions aren't always right.

GTA CW is, from what I've played so far, an excellent game. The overhead view is fantastic and makes a welcome return to the original look of the first GTA games.

Despite there being a lack of voice acting and a very simple (but effective) music collection, the game is hugely enjoyable. A variety of missions and apparently brand new material not featured in the DS version.

I nearly didn't give this game a chance but I'm very glad I did. This for me is an essential purchase for any adult gamer who likes a good mix of action, humour, 'grown-up' subject matter with a dash of old school GTA action. Brilliant.

This game is really fun. I normally play the story then mess about with GTA's but in this I do all the mini games especially the drug dealings because it is so fun.

  Better than the DS version

Its a great GTA and its much better than the DS version you can see everything thing so clearly now, and it all looks much nicer, And its nice to see Rockstar actually took the time to create a good game that suits the portable consoles well instead of trying to force GTA4 on the portable consoles

  Not bad for PSP :)

This game amazed me when i played it on psp... but one thing that no GTa game has is that when you apply for the job of the law enforcer, you won't have backup. and i REALLY WISH that this will be added in the next Psp game that rockstar launches.

On the other hand not a bad game :D

  Pretty good

When I saw the trailer both me and a friend thought the game would be bad because of the camera angle but when the game came out I decided to get it anyway, Despite the top down screen the game turned out to be amazingly good and well balanced and had a good story.

  Disappointing!

I was looking forward to playing this game, but as soon as I started it I was disappointed.
First thing, the cut scenes are just pictures with subtitles, no videos which makes it boring.
Secondly, it has gone back 10 years in terms of graphics, they are very cartoony and it is an aerial view like the old GTA games on the PS1 and PC.
It is definately not worth £25, if you really want it, Id wait until the price drops - its not worth more than £10!
Such a disappointment :o(

  Wasn't good

I bought this game and i was quite disappointed, the cut scenes are made up of still pictures and you have to keep clicking X to skip all the words. The camera angle as you may know is from above, you cannot change it, To me it feels like im playing one of those online parking games.

If you are a GTA fan, buy Liberty city and Vice city, leave this one alone
