I dont know why this isnt getting good reviews, i think its a great game, but as stated in one of the other reviews you need be patient. Its not the kind of game you can just jump straight into and play, its all about stratergy and building up your robots so that you end up with a team that can take on anything that comes your way. It actually quite challenging at times and you will have to manage the parts you use as you can only use them in one robot, so ideally you want to have robots with different strengths be it speed, string armour, heavy fire power etc.

At first it can feel abit much to get you head around, but once you do its definately worth it. I think of it as the robot equivalent to Football Manager.

  WASTE OF MONEY

This game is a disapointment. I was looking forward to getting this game but it is a total wreck. the Levels are boring and i do not understand what is going on half the time. DO NOT BUY THIS!!

Armored Core for the PSP!
If you are a big fan of the Armored Core Series, then you should buy this game. If not, read on.

As the title suggests, you can have a lot of fun with this game if you have the patience to master the controls, which many would describe as fiddly. With so many different functions your robot can perform, you will likely find it overwhelming if you leap straight in.
You also have to test a lot of the different parts and weapons for yourself to have an idea how they work. This can take a bit of time, especially as the loading times aren't what one might hope for. The game is only one player so it loses a point for this.

There isn't much of a story line, it's all about going from one arena to the next fighting new robots who use new tactics and vastly different weapons. Some you will destroy first time, others you will have to keep coming back to, continually changing your robot's design until you eventually have something that can do the job.
Be warned though, the game has quite a sharp learning curve, so if you have difficulty in completing games generally, you may not get too far with this one.

I played this game constantly and ended up completing it in about two weeks. I enjoyed it so much I played it from start to finish again. It has some of the best graphics on the PSP, but admittedly, will not appeal to a particularly wide range of fans due to the problems I have pointed out.

If it's at a fair price and you like the idea of building the ultimate fighting robot, and you're pretty good at games, then I recommend it.
