Beware! - This game is addictive!

The good:
- stunning Anime-esque cut scenes
- Character development is diverse and completely unique to each player.
- immersing story, if at times a little difficult to follow (but nothing unusual if you are a fan of Final Fantasy games)

The Bad:
My biggest criticism: Characters DIE if you leave them unconscious for more than 3 turns in a battle ie: they vanish FOREVER. If the main character 'dies' (becomes a crystal) its GAME OVER. which can be very frustrating. This is especially irritating if you have been training a character up for hours and hours (the addictive part!)
- The camera angle in battles has only 2 positions, and reverts to the original position if anything is said during the battle. Sometimes this can be frustrating when you cannot fully see a character or part of scenery.

At one point I slammed down the psp in frustration and vowed that i'd never play it again - after repeatedly failing to proceed in the story due to what seemed like a impossibly hard boss. The bosses in some cases, gain in strength as you level up so you sometimes have to be more TACTICAL - (funnily enough!)
Changing jobs, abilities and/or equipment is essential.
Only after (i'm ashamed to say) looking up on a walkthrough, did I discover what to do.

To summarize, Don't give up because it's a little more difficult than other Final Fantasy games you've played, but be warned - this game is not for players expecting an easy ride.
