A fair RPG.

I love the RPG genre, and will try anything I can find that plays like Final Fantasy. This game fits that description, and is a fair RPG.
The battle system is interesting- with a unique way of accumilating your own mana so you don't have to keep buying items to replenish it. As you attack your mana gauge goes up, which allows you to use special skills. It's pretty easy.
You also equip items to give you certain abilities as long as they remain equipped- and using different attacks together on the battlefield can lead to bonus attacks.
The music is brilliant.
The graphics are good for PSP standards, with facial expressions and cute/ unique characters, but sometimes you can see speckled lines of white pixels flickering as you move.
The downside for me are the voices. Some of the things they say are really cheesy (in battle) and the dialogue out of battle can be grating and annoying.
You can choose to play the game with English or Japanese voices- which is always a bonus in these games. The subtitles and text remain in English at all times too.
The Japanese voices are better than the English ones, but can still be quite annoying.
This game has both bad and good qualities that not everyone will love or hate. But overall it's an enjoyable game. I don't find it addictive or amazing, but it's fine enough to keep you occupied for a while and play gradually each day.
Avoid, you may catch boredom

I didn't buy this, it was given to me, like a present I suppose you could call it. But people like presents, I didn't like this. This game made me sad. I honestly don't want to spend more time thinking about the game than I already have so I will make this pretty brief.
The story is terrible. Really, not a single likable character in the game. Voice acting is terrible and the story is just so dull. I'm not even too sure what the hell it's all about. Dragons I assume, there were some dragons in there, they died.
Grinding. Oh. My. Sweet. Jesus. Never have I had to grind this much to get anywhere before. It is literally about an hour of grinding to every ten of actually advancing the game. Every time you go into a new area you will have to run around killing stuff for ages because otherwise it will all kill you in a couple of hits.
Combat can actually be fun at times. You level up your abilities and spells the more you use them which I liked. The game seems to completely ignore stats like speed, defense and strength though. One turn may see your characters attack before the bad guys, then the next turn, the bad guys will rip through your party before you get a hit in. It makes no sense! There is way too much of it as well thanks to all that grinding.
The item creation is quite cool but then all JRPG's have that these days so it's hardly worth getting excited about is it? It's not even overly deep, buy recipes and make stuff. You can't stumble across super powerful gear and if you can then I didn't.
That's enough of that anyway. If you still want to buy it then you are a silly billy.
pretty damn good

I got the U.S Version as I couldn't wait for it to come out in the UK. In the game you can create your own weapons and items with items you found as you kill monsters so what ever would drop keep hold of it it might be useful in the future. The story is about 6 elemental dragons that help keep peace on the plante. until one day a Black dragon appers and choas starts to break loose all the dragoons who swore to protect the dragons ( but i'll let you find out the rest for yourselves ) The game has nice graphics and the combat is turned based you have to keep using skills to boost them and make them become stronger it is kinda like final fantasy 7 you need better weapons to hold more lacus ( needed to cast spells ) you can hold up to a maxium of 6 at a time it can get a little annoying when you dont use skills and you need it the most so suggestion to future people train as much as you can before going on a head overall the game is outstanding and it has a MMORPG feel to it with the leveling up of skills and making items. any way enjoy ^-^
