very good game but i would only get this if your serious about the multiplayer because the single player is just multiplayer training i.e remember shadowrun, but with the added new charecters and weopons and new game modes makes a very good game

A must have for the psp, you will get addicted to online gaming on this as you join clans to fight epic battles or just play for a few minutes.
The single player is not awesome but in search of the best soldiers and items you will play it and will mostly enjoy...
Portable ops was actually the first mgs game I played and I can't believe I never played a mgs game before now.
Can't wait until mgs4!!

This is a fantastic game, and is probably one of the best on PSP, its literally like playing MGS3, but on a Playstation Portable instead. Its got great graphics and identical gameplay to the PS2 games. And when your board of the Single player mode, you can go online or fight your friends, using squads you've build/captured in the single player game. There's a few 'minor' details such as single player missions becoming slightly repetitive or boring, or the main games a bit too short, but thats why a multiplayer mode is there. and with the new 'added' content in 'Portable Ops+'it just makes an already great game even better.

A new single player mode included, which improves slightly to the original. But where the game really kicks off is in its online mode. Online mode sees you take a 4 man squad into the online front, with modes including Deathmatch and Team Death Match which are fast paced action packed modes for quick play. The online mode has a quick join feature for a quick 5 minute game and a decent number of servers so finding a match to join is never a problem. If you own the original it doesnt really add much to the mix, but for the price its a worthy investment.
