I picked this up yesterday after trading in a few games.I used to love playing this on the amiga cd32 and stopped following worms on the xbox when it became 3D as i thought it spoiled it.after 7 years i thought it would not be funny as i remeberd.......HOW WRONG I WAS !!!
this is a great game thats so damn fun.the voices crack me up and the best bit is that you could play this for a quick 5 minute blast or take your time and play for long sessions.this is a corker of a game. 10/10 all the way :-)

  Awesome old school wormage warfare.

Ive been a fan of "worms" since the origional on the Commodore Amiga!
I wasnt overly impressed with the cartoon style worms of worms 2 ect, but to satisfy my curiosity, i bought 2 copies of this for me and my G/F.
We were not dissapointed!
The PSP version retains Classic worms combat, items, voices and fun!
Also, either same console multiplayer, or wireless multiplayer is awesome fun!
The wireless works well too with next to no lag!
Myself and my G/F play this together for hours on end and i would recomend it to anyone who is a fan of the Genre.

Worth buying, full stop.

Although the game has gone back to 2D for the psp, one thing hasn't changed. Worms is still great. I've always liked this series, with worms armageddon on the PS1 being my favourite version. You team up your gang of 4 worms against from 1 to 3 more human or computer controlled teams with the objective of being the last team standing. This is done through multiple weapons and although the weapons available have been scaled down for the psp game, the fun ones are all here from the rocket launchers (manual and guided), grenades (normal and cluster bomb), shotgun, uzi, fire punch, air strike, to the real fun ones like banana bomb and sheep.

Multiplayer can either be done on the same psp or through the wifi mode which works very well (it's the first game I could try the wifi on and I was impressed with it).

So although this is scaled down a bit this is classic worms. Great stuff.

It is a brilliant game and has better graphics than most of the other worms it is still 2d but is as clear as anything. Its the same as it has always been really but is brilliant if you regreted getting rid of it on Playstation1. it has replays and all the weapons u will probably want i throughly recommend this one loved the ps1 version youll love this.

Worms at it's best.. with less content

I bought this game purely because i have a PSP and love the Worms series and thought it would be great for long-distance travelling or whatever the situation.

When i first played this it didnt too well to grab my attention.. however, the funny little cut-scenes are great to watch on the high-quality PSP screen.

The game itself controls surprisingly well, and the 2D display with a 3D background works really well.

However, it does not have the same feeling you get when you were playing Worms Armaggedon for example.

It also greatly lacks game content such as weapons and the team voices that are few in number and are not as humourous as they used to be.

The game is still a 2D Worm game so you know it's going to be good.. but if you are willing to pay for a cut-down version of Worms, get this game.

Overall: 3/5

A replica of an all-time classic game, but with a severe cut-down in content.
