Ea sports have improved their cricket series with this instalment but it is not perfect by any means. With a 5 level difficulty setting, gameplay is far more accessible. Cricket 07 also contains full domestic and international itineries, including a chance to relive the famous 2005 Ashes series, so there are many modes of play. As for the grounds, most are recreated faithfully though more effort has gone in to international venues which do look impressive. Much more fustration derives from the problems of resuming a game after a save. For several overs the contrioller has a mind of its own and the shots you select will not necessarily be performed while the batsmen also go for a wander without you pressing a button. This is a fault of previous cricket games, can be very annoying and should have been resolved by now. Glitches such as this do take the shine off the game somewhat but it is still the best cricket game so far. Sort out the technical flaws, more consistency in the animations and graphics (which are on the whole good) and this will be an excellent cricket game. This is still the best offering so far, but unless you are a keen cricket fan, this game will bore you very quickly.
