Guitar Hero II is the follow-up to 2005's award-winning release, "Guitar Hero," which rocked the game industry and garnered a stack of awards.
Veteran music videogame developer Harmonix Music Systems has been busy in-studio, enriching this rockstar experience with more features and multiplayer modes. In addition to the traditional head-to-head competition, Multiplayer Co-op Mode allows players to collaborate in order to beat songs, with each guitarist playing a separate guitar track. Available guitar tracks include lead, rhythm or bass tracks, depending upon the song. The Guitar Hero SG Controller used in the first installment will also be compatible with the new game.

Guitar Controller not included.

 Not bad

i was excited to test this game out because of the complete genius of the first one but to my dissapointment it was no where near as good as the first. the songs on it are not as well known and nearly all of the songs are unmasterfull. the one thing going for it is the new and improved graphics and also the multiplayer features. i strongly do not recommend it for anyone that has not played the first and i also say that if anyone is just going to use it for solo player they wont have much fun 6/10

 Totally amazing

Again, love it, again harder than the third one, but with songs like "sweet child o' mine", it so good, you have to play it.

 Awesome!

Top 100 Books Reviewer

This title really has re-vitalised my interest in gaming. The concept, albeit fairly simplistic (think dance mat but based around hand/finger co-ordination) but is amazing effective and addictive. This is aimed at the rock/metal crowd, so if you're not a fan of either of those genres you may find this harder to get into than the rest of us. Guitar Hero 3, which due out in late Nov 07 contains more radio friendly stuff and thus will have a wider appeal. Otherwise if you're into your rock music you can't go wrong!!

WARNING !!!! Do NOT buy this if you want any sleep

This is without doubt the most addictive game I have ever played bar non !!! I hated rock music (or so I thought) but 5 minutes on this and I was converted.
The game is fun fun fun no matter what age you are, unfortunately it also eats away your life as hours seem like minutes.
