A very good third person shooter, it has an excellent look about the combat, but the enemys are just too easy, the auto aim means all you have to do is bash shoot the whole way through the game and youre finished. At first i thought i was in for an excellent game, 2 levels before the end i really lost interest and its a shame. By all means buy it, its well worth the money, but dont expect to be baffled buy bosses or stumped by puzzles... (Mainly because there are no puzzles)...

Bring forth Chaos, because this is a sweet game :D

A great sequel to what is by far one of the best RPG's of all time. This game is very good.

The story is easy to get into and lots of fun with some very deep and intriguing characters. The gameplay is quite different for a final fantasy games as its a shooter, but you have to remember that the main character is Vincent Valentine. The gun customization is cool too and the enemies are fun to fight and there's quite a bit of content to unlock as well.

The one problem with this game in my opinion is that its just too short on story mode. I completed the story in like 7 hours!. On the other hand once you've completed the story you unlock Ex Hard mode which carries over your upgraded guns and gill from the last play through like a semi-new games plus and the enemies are a lot harder. Basically even though the stories short, there's a lot of replay value to this game.

Also just because the stories short doesn't mean that Square Enix has cut corners, quite the opposite really they've clearly put a lot of work into this game. For example a good number of cutscenes are of the same quality as the film Final Fantasy VII Advent Children and those that are in games are some of the best in-game cutscenes you'll find on the ps2.

The boss battles can be quite challenging with Vincent's unique style of combat, but are still a lot of fun and can be quite challenging even on normal level difficulty.

Then there's the soundtrack. Normally when i play a game i don't take much notice of the sounds, but this one has got one hell of a soundtrack. Its fantastic, especially the main theme which they kept from the Japanese version, which fits the game much better and is a lot of fun to shoot enemies with it playing in the background.

I gonna be blunt here and say that this game is not gonna surpass COD as an fps any time soon and it feels more like an RPG to me anyway, but the gameplay works very well and fits Vincent's character nicely. For die-hard fans of the series or noobies however this game will be a lot of fun with its engaging cast of characters and all the question from the last games that it answers as well sets a nice stage for a future FFVII sequel.

Oh and did i mention it has VINCENT and YUFFIE in it; that's gotta be worth buying the game just all on its own.

 so-so!

The game play wasn't the best but the characters were great and it proved a fun game to play. Slightly disappointed at the length of the game but nonetheless any FF fans will enjoy this!
