Guitar Hero II is the follow-up to 2005's award-winning release, "Guitar Hero," which rocked the game industry and garnered a stack of awards.
Veteran music videogame developer Harmonix Music Systems has been busy in-studio, enriching this rockstar experience with more features and multiplayer modes. In addition to the traditional head-to-head competition, Multiplayer Co-op Mode allows players to collaborate in order to beat songs, with each guitarist playing a separate guitar track. Available guitar tracks include lead, rhythm or bass tracks, depending upon the song. The Guitar Hero SG Controller used in the first installment will also be compatible with the new game.

This beats air guitar by miles its a must have to all air guitar wanna b's........apart from you can have a guitar in your hand!!!! its also alot easyier than you think alot of practice but its worth it when you can play a whole song on EXPERT!!!!!! seriously what are you waiting for buy one trust me this is a really must have!!!!!

This is truly amazing with more songs than the first guitar hero this already has a lead. the guitar has also vastly improved and hammer-ons and pull-offs are much easier now.

The most addictive game I have ever played.
As a fan of harmonix previous games (FreQuency and Amplitude) I was eager to play the GH series.
It didn't appeal to me at first and seemed like a tacky drinking game like Singstar (who honestly plays that sober?)
But a mate got it and we have not stopped playing it since.
Once you've worked your way up to expert, you can even please real crowds who actually cheer when you start playing one of the many classic rock songs, and nailing the solo's.
The addition of co-op suddenly changed multiplayer from a exhausting battle, to a proper show. With one on lead and the other on bass (or rhythm).
I cannot recommend this game enough as it is the single most played game in my entire collection - I still play and get high scores!
I cannot wait for GH3!!!
