Compete at the highest level of street racing with Need For Speed: ProStreet. It's no longer good enough to simply rule your local neighbourhood; you need to dominate on a global stage. Build the ultimate battle machine, take it to multi-disciplinary showdowns and pit your skills and reputation against the world's best street racers. This is your chance to prove that you have what it takes to be crowned the next street king.

ProStreet is your ultimate taste of the chaos and unbridled adrenaline of street racing. Pushing yourself and your car to the edge can lead to mistakes and this time those mistakes have consequences. Think swirling fields of debris, shredded fiberglass and heinously twisted metal. Every dent, every scratch and every crumpled body panel is a battle scar, proof of your commitment and competitive mettle.

Compete on some of the world's most iconic racing locations - Tokyo's Shuto Expressway, the Autobahn and the Nevada desert. The atmosphere is electric - complete with energetic crowds, photo-realistic cars and billowing smoke - all designed to embody the pressure and intensity of the gladiatorial challenge known as Show Down. Need For Speed: ProStreet is the realization of the raw power, visceral aggression and intense rivalry that embodies street racing culture.

Real, Adrenaline-Fueled Racing - Experience the raw power of street racing with a brand new physics engine, and intuitively refined AI.

Dominate Across All Racing Disciplines - Prove yourself in four distinct styles of racing: Drag, Drift, Grip, and the all-new Speed Challenge.

Ride the Edge of Disaster - One wrong move, and witness the consequences of your mistakes via truly advanced and comprehensive damage capturing technology.

Compete on the World Stage - Prove your skills on some of the world's most iconic racing locations - Tokyo's Shuto Expressway, the Autobahn and the Nevada Desert.

"Most Wanted" was amazing, "Carbon" was good but it lost its edge. Bought this game as soon as it was out. Big mistake! I dont know whats happend, I wanna say not much but then it must of taken quite a bit to ruin such a great series of games. NO ROME FREE. Loading times are long. Just not the same game. Graphics are ok.

       More Gran Turismo than NFS

This is, in my opinion the worst Need for Speed game in the series. Gone is the ability to free roam the world, gone are the days of racing on the streets.

The incessant droning that is the commentator continually litters the game with barely disguised anti-street racing comments. Way to change your tune EA.

I personally think that EA must have been told that they are no longer allowed to depict an illegal activity, and rather than leave the series they made this terrible game.

Physics are more realistic than previous games, but since when have you wanted to play NFS for the realism. To me NFS is a game where you can pretty much keep your pedal to the floor and you might get a few dings and the occasional smash but you'll do ok. In NFS:PS you have to drive "correctly", braking at corners, shifting gears at the correct time etc etc. While this may appeal to some players, those who have played and liked other NFS games will probably be disappointed.

The range of cars is pretty good, with a mix of muscle cars (old and new), supercars, hatches etc, however they tend to feel slow and heavy until you get the extremely expensive upgrades.

Soundtrack is boring, nothing caught my attention. Menus are confusing, and the storyline is dire.

Overall stay well away from this. Truly the worst NFS to date.

I've played all the NFS series, and enjoyed them all, some more than others, but this has to be the worst.
I found it to be unchallenging, annoying and uninspiring.
After less than an hour of play I decided I was going to trade it in!

       A must have!!

for all that have bought and played the previous games u will not be disappointed with the new one, yes there aint any cop chases but the customization is far deeper and the driving is more hands on, and come on be fair the graphics look pretty awsome too.

       Pro Street is definitely . . . . . . . . . . . . Unique!

Pro Street is definitely . . . . . . . . . . . . Unique! It not anything like its predecessors. It offers a more ADVANCE style of racing compared to the others. The originals were truly great arcade racing games, Pro Street has tried to make it a bit more sophisticated. I can defiantly see why it's not some people's cup of tea. My final recommendation, if you're looking for a street racing game that was 'exactly' like the Undergrounds, then Pro Street may disappoint you. However, for anyone who just wants to play a fun racing game then Pro Street will meet your every need, once you crack the controls of the vehicle it is still a cracking good game!
