 A Reasonable Game

Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is a decent enough game and a fair addition to the Budokai series. The new characters (such as Nail, Tambourine & Future Gohan) are welcome additions to the already staggering roster of characters. The enhanced graphics, new moves, new battle stages and new gameplay elements (Z burst dash) are very good and look great.
However, the downside to this game is most definetly the somewhat weak & disappointing story mode. Many of the key battles (such as Vegeta Vs Zarbon, Future Trunks Vs Mecha Frieza & Gotenks Vs Super Buu) are bizzarly omitted from the game. Also, some of the new characters (Spopovich, Kid Chi-Chi) do not even appear in the story mode which lets an otherwise good game down quite substantially.
In conclusion, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is an average game. It exceeds Tenkaichi 2 in terms of gameplay but is in no way a match for its more in-depth story mode. If you are a fan of DBZ then this game will suit you (despite the story mode, but then if you are a true fan you should know what's missing) but if you are a first timer then I would give it a miss as the story mode will confuse you no end.
All in all I would give this game 7/10.
