Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock continues to build on Guitar Hero's successful easy to play, but difficult to master gameplay mechanic to take the franchise to a whole new level. With master tracks from legendary bands like Sex Pistols, Guns N' Roses, Rolling Stones, Metallica, and Pearl Jam, along with original music composed specifically for the game by iconic guitarists Slash and Tom Morello, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock sports the greatest soundtrack to ever find its way into a videogame. Vastly improved graphics immerse gamers into their rock arenas and heighten their visual experience while the new wireless Gibson guitar controllers allow the players to channel their inner guitar gods. The arcade-inspired Battle Mode, expanded Co-Op Career and Boss Battles add depth and extend gameplay for countless hours of shred time.

Featuring over 70% master recordings, spanning over 40 years of music across many rock genres, Guitar Hero fans have the opportunity to shred to one of the greatest compilations of music ever. Adding to the track list are some of the most legendary European anthems with a vast array of downloadable content post-launch. From Metallica to Muse and Rolling Stones to Rage Against the Machine, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock offers up a truly legendary set list.

Multiple tracks that can only be found in the game include guitar icons Slash and Tom Morello contributing original guitar riffs for their boss battles. Also, the Sex Pistols re-entered the studio for the first time in 30 years to re-record "Anarchy in the U.K." providing Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock an original recording not available anywhere else. Additionally, Living Colour re-recorded their Grammy Award winning "Cult of Personality" adding a solo that left legendary guitarist Vernon Reid grunting.

Includes Kramer Guitar Hero Controller

Rock This Way: The arcade-inspired battle mode adds a new dimension to the Guitar Hero franchise. The idea isn't necessarily to hit the most notes, but rather hit the right ones and learn the nuances of using the power-up attacks.

An Authentic Look and Feel: Improving the graphics from the ground up have created a more intense visual element giving guitar heroes the sense of performing on their own rock stage.

You've Got to Beat the Best, To Be the Best: Battle mode lends itself to the boss battles featuring Slash and Tom Morello. After defeating a boss, unlock them as a playable character and continue to the encore for the set list, which is a master recording of one of their most legendary songs.

         Addictive beyond Belief!!

This game has got to be the most addictive game ever. Even if you don't think you'll like the music, it will convert you. Its fun and will make you feel like the rock legend you've always wanted to be. This time round there is an increased slope of difficulty, making some parts easy and other harder, (hammer ons and pull offs are greatly improved, making you feel more legendary than ever) and there are more master recordings, making it so much better to listen to. A great game, GH4 will be even better I'm sure.
        Tips:
(If you have 'non rock' friends over, you will get bored of 'When you were young')
(Don't take your guitar apart, you'll probably break it like me)
(Wear a top hat when playing Welcome to the Jungle)

how to find certain songs on GH3!!!

for those of you who are wondering where the Red Hot Chili Peppers song and Beastie Boys song + others are located in this game, you have to play the game in CO-CAREER mode!.. thats the ONLY way you can access those songs!.. having said that, if you play the game on your own (or have no one else to play it with) YOU WILL NEVER GET TO PLAY THOSE SONGS ON GH3!!!!!!!.. what i'm trying to say is, you need two buy two guitars (or use a controller) & play with another person at the same time in co-career mode to make these songs available!.. once these songs are activated they can be played via 1 or 2 players at any time!.. trust me those songs are on the game, it just sucks that you have to play with another person to activate the songs!.. the instruction manual doesnt tell you where to find the songs, so you could possibly never find them if you play 100% on your own!!.. (like i do) anyhoo, i think that is the only let down for this game!!.. having said that, the game is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE and very entertaining!!..

         What can I say

I play this game non-stop, have it on ps2 and the wii and I love it to bits. The songs are amazing and the fact the hammer ons are a lot easier to hit now makes it much better. Battles are ace and even the bonus songs are good. Well worth it.

Yes the guitar controller is wireless, and yes it also works with Guitar Hero 1 and 2.

To clarify about the "laggyness" of the guitar; I don't see it - I've played GH3 on the XBox 360, and it plays (controller wise) EXACTLY the same.
