Right where to start.........
Pro's and Cons
Pro's: Decent graphics
It's Ghostbusters
Con's: 1. player game only
2 .only 1 way to go
3 .no interaction inbetween games other than redoing a
level
I can see why this site put the price it did for such an iconic name infact that price is still too much when comes to gameplay there is not much you can do except blast everything to pieces with your weapons. this is just another platform game where you destroy things to find thing and put them in your inventory. if you like your spyro type of games then this is for you if not dont bother buying it.
This game is great!!! The story is good, very much like a 'Ghostbusters 3' movie plot/or an extended 'The Real Ghostbusters' cartoon. It uses the voice talents of the original cast and captures the atmosphere of the films well. There is good variation in weaponry and actually capturing ghosts is a fun process! Battling the Marshmallow Man is very much a highlight! There is a wide variety of different ghosts and the PKE meter/goggles ghost tracking is well implemented. The graphics on the PS2 are cartoony but immersive. Loading times are a bit on the long side but it does not distract. It also does not seem optimised for widescreen TVs and the game has frozen on me a couple of times (rare for my PS2 but hey there is autosave so nothing is lost)! It seems a well polished game, a welcome change to the shovelware which is becoming common now the PS2 is in its twilight years. A quick rubbish port of the PS3 game this is not. It is a good game in its own right!
Great idea but my biggest gripe is that the story gets a bit rubbish towards the end. The graphics are good for the most part with some locations being a bit... Hmmm. The game is very liniar and as a result it be a little dull.. I was very much looking forward to this game but ultmately a little disappointed.
