If you have younger children or like gaming on a budget then you have to consider the wealth of titles that the PS2 has in its back catalogue and how cheaply many of them can be picked-up for (frequently under five pounds) and if you don't have a HDTV yet then you really need to question how much of an advantage you'll SEE when playing next generation games. Dont get all caught up in the hype of new generation consoles,i have all of them and the ps2 gets the most playtime! why you ask well the games rock if you look around you can pick all games up for £5-£10 even the new releases after 1 month they are cheap,there is nothing clever about paying £100,s for the newest hardware and £39.99-£49.99 for games.Get a ps2 and loads of games for peanuts you wont regret it! a little bit of advise for you all.

There are two types of Ps2: The ones I call fat PS2's and Slimlines. Fat Playstation 2's tend to last longer than the more recent slimlines, as I know many people who have had Slimlines which have broken down in less than a year.
