Taking place two years after Yuna's fateful journey to defeat Sin, the once chaotic world of Spira has gone through a massive transformation, entering a period of "Eternal Calm". The people of Spira now shun the teachings of Yevon and have opened their arms to former foes, the Al Bhed and the use of machina. The Machine Faction aims to propagate the use of machina in Spira, going as far as renaming "machina" to "machines" to remove the stigma. However, even with the peaceful life they now live, there is emptiness in Yuna's heart that is keeping her from moving on as the others have.
One day, Yuna obtains a mystical sphere that contains imagery of what might be the Blitzball player she thought was gone forever. Although Yuna isn't certain that it is him, or if he is even alive, she's driven to seek him out. Yuna needs closure to their unexpected parting, even if only to find that she will never see him again. So begins her journey, this is Yuna's story.

Absolutly love the FF series followed it for ages, as FFX is my favourite story line with Tidus & Yuna I was excited to play the sequal
Just got to say, not to ruian anything but, there are two possible endings....a good one.... and a bad one! unfortuantly for me, slaving over the PS2 for hours each day levelling up characters, playing mini-games and doing hidden missions to get the absolute dream ending and getting end credits and no reunion between the lovers... never mind 'ey, i will be playing again 'cos i love it so much.
The overall game play is slightly cheesey and girlish with the new "dress spheres" and all girl main cast... but don't worry they are well voice-evered and are just good characters :)
Definatly worth the time, effort and money ! and the price it is right now on Play.com.... bag it !
An Outstanding Game

Better graphics than the first.Awesome battle system for typical turn based jrpg.Lame music for final fantasy.Plethora of extra games.Quite fun but storywise if not up there with the rest Final Fantasy's.Recommended though for the battle system and those who want to see to sequel of the story of X.
