A real mixed bag. On the plus side it is great to have a chance to sing along to some of these Disney classics, the game looks great and for the first time you can have duets with both players singing different lyrics at the same time.
On the down side the track list is only 20 long and some of the songs included are barely a minute in length. Considering it is the same price as other titles in the range that have 30 tracks and all are 3 1/2 to 4 minutes this seems to leave you a bit short changed.
Although no Singstar will ever please everyone with its tracklist there are a few strange inclusions and omissions here - nothing from Snow White or Pinocchio which both must have better known songs (Heigh Ho, Whistle While You Work, Give A Little Whistle, When You Wish Upon A Star etc). Perhaps they are being held back for Volume 2. Personally I would have preferred some of the above along with another song from Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin over You Can Fly from Peter Pan, I Wonder from Sleeping Beauty and Son of Man from Tarzan.
A minor point is that the total score no longer seems to give you a breakdown of "line bonuses" and "golden notes".
As fans of Singstar, my friends and I had been looking forward to the release of the Disney game but were left very disappointed with it. You don't get any more songs than usual but each song is barely a minute in length which definitely doesn't feel like value for money!
Also, the song choice was quite bizarre. It would have been nice to have some longer songs from Aladdin etc or even some from the live action Disney films such as Mary Poppins or Bedknobs and Broomsticks instead of obscure ones from Sleeping Beauty etc.
Although it was nice to have duets where both red and blue teams sing at the same time, the way the songs were divided meant that the red team had little to no chance of achieving a winning score since they were just required to sing backing vocals (often in African or gobbledygook)
In all, we all found the game a great disappointment and reverted to previous versions of Singstar which are much more enjoyable and worth their money!
Good choice for small children who already know the song lyrics.
Brillient mix of songs the best of the disney classics i think. A must buy for the disney fans amongst you all
I do agree with the previous reviewers, most of the songs included are very short and thus the value for money aspect is not as good as the other Singstar titles.
Setlist is a mixed bag, though the inclusion of Under the Sea was a masterstroke. However i would have liked to have seen songs like Gaston's
