EyeToy: Play 3 will keep everybody entertained this Christmas season. The content has been carefully crafted to include a huge range of activities across multiple genres including sports, action and music, as well as a collection of whacky multiplayer party games that'll get the whole family playing together at the same time! Below is a small sample of what's in store:
Beach Volleyball: Spike your way to the top in a four player multiplayer game or against the local resident beach bums. Special modes include the hilarious speed rally.
Bowling: Hit the alley in this bowling bonanza! Play a traditional game of 10-pin, or go crazy bowling balls at the 'marching pins' in a unique knockout mode. The game also features a tournament for up to 4 players so you can really see who's the 'King Pin'.
DJ: Scratch the decks and entertain the crowds! Watch out for the club lights and 'hi fives'. This game will have you mixing with the best . . . How "bling" can you get?
Be the Band: Take the whole family to the stage and play one instrument each! Try your skills at guitar, drums, trombone, keyboard and...well, be the band! Poor playing will result in a poor show so keep in synch!
Hair Salon: Ever thought you could manage a busy day at the salon? In this hair-raising game, you're let loose to cut, style and design some weird and wonderful bouffants. Remember, your customer must like their new-look or there could be tears!
Boot Camp: Take hold of your nerves, and your stamina as you enter into this action-packed Boot Camp. Led by the fearful Sergeant, follow orders or face discipline, soldier! It's 'Sir, yes Sir' all the way as you take on training exercises and agility courses... you'll be whipped into military shape in no time!
Couple all these with cheeky audience participation and the innovative face mapping feature that lets you put your friends' faces in the game, and EyeToy: Play 3 is set to continue leading the way in the EyeToy revolution.

The Eye toy series have been very successfull and im not suprised, as they are so fun to use but pretty soon the games get old and tiring then you realise its basically a gimmick.

the good thing is the camera can also be used as a webcam if you have the right files. But the game only last a short time, Then after that you will probably only get it out when you have a few friends over and wanna laugh.

The third of the eye toy play series makes a hat-trick of a good trilogy, and although I enjoyed the others a bit more, this third version is still brilliant. The eye toy is one of my favourite ever add-ons as it places you on the screen to interact with the various events on offer. All the games are good but there are always a few that stand out. Bowling places you in the ball so you can add some direction to the ball. Then there's the band game where you individually play a few instruments, then the game replays your efforts as a band on stage. The maestro of an orchestra game is really fun where your arms will be waving about frantically on times. Boot camp will get your heart racing as you run, jump and crawl through the assault course. Other efforts see you being a DJ, playing volleyball, American football, and performing various hair cuts, make up and other treatments to customers.

There's also a fun room where you can perform experiments like putting your head on another players body, and another where it mixes the facial parts of 2 different players which will give you a good laugh.

And the only thing better than the single player option is multiplayer as everyone can get involved as the eye toy doesn't require any complex controls bar you.

Great work out which is fun

People say this a poor man's wii but I believe it stands alone, as you only use your own body and I personaly think you have to move your body alot more than with the wii (some wii games may differ) but the range of games and activites will keep every one entertained, when my family first got this we played it from 1 pm to 8 at night. It's great for parties and I would personaly play this rather than the wii, also the camera takes up no room compared to the wii consel, I hope sony make more games as good as this one for the eye toy.
One thing though is you have to position the camera well otherwise your movements may not be picked up.
