Namco are famous for making beat-em-ups like Tekken and Soul Calibur, then out of nowhere We Love Katmamari came along a bonkers collect them-up puzzle game. The object of the game is to roll a ball around and pick up objects which start off being small, but later on you will be collecting buildings from a city. The first level starts off in a small room as you progress though the game you roll around a school, outside and even under water. The graphics are bright and colourful if a bit basic but really suit the game as it's all about having fun. The music is amusing and I sometimes find myself taping my foot + humming the tunes as I play. I came very close to giving We Love Katamari four stars because it lacks mass appeal but I did'nt. The reason being is when you have been playing games for over 20 years and come across a game which is unique, original and excellent to play it deserves recognition.
