There are a million stories in Liberty City. This one changes everything. Once a trusted wise guy in the Leone crime family, Toni Cipriani was forced into hiding after killing a made man. Now he's back and it's time for things to be put right.
The streets of Liberty City are in turmoil. Warring Mafiosi vie for control as the town begins to self-destruct under waves of political corruption, organized crime, drug trafficking and union strikes. No one can be trusted as Toni tries to clean up the mess of the city's chaotic underworld. Deranged hit men, morally depraved tycoons, cynical politicians and his own mother stand in his way as Toni tries to bring the city under Leone control.
Forced to fight for his life in an odyssey that will shake Liberty City to its foundations, Toni must use any means necessary to secure his place in the leadership of the Leone family in a town up for grabs.

We're back in the three-island environment from GTA III, and this game also boasts the sharp storytelling and character development that sets the franchise apart from its rivals.

 Good Game

This game is ported from the PSP version which is why it has a cheap price-tag. The missions are designed for the PSP so they aren't as long as GTA missions from previous titles. Even though, at a price like this, it's well worth buying.

In this game you play as Toni Cipriani three years before the events in III. For most people, this isn't their first time in Liberty City because of GTA III and therefore there won't be lots of discovering and exploring. The graphics aren't a huge improvment because this is a PSP port which is dissapointing because they could've been improved on.

Boats, bikes, cars, ferrys & trains are the only means of transport here. Absent are helicopters, planes & bicycles. The customization of Toni isn't as vast and detailed as San Andreas; instead you unlock outfits as you go along.

This isn't a groundbreaking GTA title but it's still a good game.

 Just More Of The Same

Overall, Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories (PS2) is an addictive game with many great moments of gaming action whether it be racing cars over cliffs and up ramps or completing criminal missions, but on the whole it just isn't original enough. It's a game that just carries on the series filling a void until something huge comes along. The graphics are basic and at times appalling mixing with a very sluggish feel. There is a high replayability factor with the side missions such as finding all the hidden packages and hidden jumps, plus the extra hours and hours of gameplay, but the removal of the multiplayer options and online features is shocking enough. At least it's still highly playable. Fans of the series will love this without question and I found myself wanting to carry on playing despite all the faults. It's worth a try at least but I expected more. Let's just hope GTA IV offers something at least more substantial.

The game was good but wasn't that great. Great playing it on the PSP for the first time. The missions are alright but some of them are pretty bad. Get Vice City Stories if your going to get one of them.

 Rockstar Please Stop

After you get San Andreas stop buying the GTA series. All this game is Rockstar stealing money from you at the cost of ruining GTA repuatation. Don't get this.
