Truth is Written in Blood...

"I will seek vengeance upon those who have betrayed my family, and uncover a conspiracy bigger than I could have imagined. I am Ezio Auditore da Firenze. I am an Assassin."

The highly anticipated follow-up to Assassin's Creed features a new hero, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, a young Italian noble, and a new era, the Renaissance. Assassin's Creed 2 retains the core gameplay experience that made the first opus a resounding success and features new experiences that will surprise and challenge players. Assassin's Creed II is an epic story of family, vengeance and conspiracy set in the pristine, yet brutal, backdrop of a Renaissance Italy. Ezio befriends Leonardo da Vinci, takes on Florence's most powerful families and ventures throughout the canals of Venice where he learns to become a master assassin.

  • Assassins Creed 2: Game Of The Year Edition Includes:
  • Assassin's Creed 2 full game
  • Both DLC packs: Battle of Forli & Bonfire of the Vanities
  • 3 Templar Secret Locations (Palazzo Medici + Santa Maria dei Frari + Arsenal Shipyard), previously only available in the Assassin's Creed 2 Black Edition
  • All extra features are contained on the remastered game disc - there is no need to download any content to play
  • Product Features:
  • Explore the beginning of modern history in an epic story of power, revenge, and conspiracy
  • Master the art of the assassin with over 20 new weapons and inventions created by Leonardo da Vinci
  • Experience open world gameplay with over 16 types of mission

 What's all the fuss about?

| | See all Hammers27's reviews (101)

I can tell by the reviews for this game that people won't like what I've got to say, but it's my opinion. I really don't get it. Why is this such a good game?

I was eyeing up this game for months, mostly because of the reviews it was getting, and the first Assassin's Creed was apparantly awful. So I bought the second one and the story mode started off pretty well, but then once you get into the missions it's so boring. I think watching paint dry is more exciting.

This game is repetitive; all the missions are similiar and it's a total waste of your time. The running up the wall is so lame it's comical. All you do is just jump onto boxes and clib poles and building to get around. It's very lame and it also takes time to get used to.

The user manual was not user frienly either, you just have to learn and pick things up for yourself. You steal money from certain boxes during the game to, it's so pathetic. I really don't understand what the writiers were up to on this game. Everyone I've spoken to love the game but agree that the story is pretty low quality and lacking a lot. They say it;s hard to follow, and they took the words right out of my mouth.

Don't get me started on the online play. It doesn't even work!!!

A friend of mine recently purchased the brotherhood game and it's exactly the same. I say save your pennies and buy something decent. This game is not even worth the 10 pound it's at right now. It;s totally overrated and I'm only giving it 3 stars because the graphics are pretty good.

P.S. Why do reviewers click 'no' for the 'is this feedback helpful'? LOL it's just my opinion, just because I don't like a product doesn't mean it's not helpful. Do we REALLY have to say positive things about every product? Is that helpful? Get a life people.

 GAME OF THE YEAR

I've been anticipating this game since the first release of Assassin's Creed. I loved the first but the second beats it in every way possible. Ezio's journey is unbelievable. It's not impossible to finish, yet it's not too easy either. It's perfect for a gamer. I've finished it four times and each time, I learn new things about the game. I've earned all the trophies, which I think is great because I automatically dislike when games are impossible to earn all the trophies, but Assassin's Creed was great in every way. It's definitely a must-have, without a doubt.

Let me get this out of the way, THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!!

I was not a very big fan of the first game. having traded it in half-way through because it was so crap and repetetive.

THis game is very different and has so many things to do!

For 10 pounds you cant go wrong! I just finished it and can tell you the gameplay and story are great as well as the soundtrack and voicework.

However, be warned the story is very complicated and I found it hard to keep along but the way it plays out is fantastic.

Another minor quibble is that the Game of the year addittion does a poor job of telling you what is downloadable content and doesnt explain how to get to the downloadable content.

Other than that, don't think just buy!!!!
