"I will seek vengeance upon those who have betrayed my family, and uncover a conspiracy bigger than I could have imagined. I am Ezio Auditore da Firenze. I am an Assassin."

 Eccellente, splendido! What a game!

First of all this is an amazing game. Instead of a load of boring prose i'll just give you the facts.

Pros:
- Exceptional free running and climbing aspect
- Better than the first in most areas
- Superb combat controls
- You can now attack people when you've grabbed them
- The ability to pick people up and lob 'em off buildings or into the rivers.
- YOU CAN SWIM!
- Gameplay (not cut-scene) graphics are great
- Counter/finishing moves
- Storyline

Cons:
- Terrible cut-scene graphics
- Time it takes to get your first weapon
- Poor time of the year to release (will no doubt be overshadowed by MW2)

All in all this game is good but the review is only based on the first few hours of gameplay. So far, well worth the money and its looking like a must have for any gaming collection.

Undeniably Bigger and Better - but Still...

I never finished the first Assassin's Creed since the story wasn't compelling enough to keep me ploughing through the repetitive gameplay. So I must ask myself, why did I pre-order the sequel without even checking any reviews?

The thing with AC1 was that it showed promise with its amazing open world and fun free running. I enjoyed the atmosphere so much that even if AC2 would not have any better story or game content, it would have to be incredible to experience 15th century Italy AC-style.

After completing AC2 (yes, I actually finished this one) I can say that I was right. The atmosphere was once again fantastic. And as I was pleased to find out, there have been many improvements to almost every aspect of the game - including the storytelling. My biggest relief was that Ezio doesn't engage into as lengthy and pointless and ever so boring tea time discussions with his victims as Altair did. He does still speak to them (unfortunately) but this time it's much more tolerable. Honestly, I could rant all day about how annoying the "You killed me but you don't see the truth" -speeches in AC1 were. Arrggh!

AC2 is still far from perfect but definitely an improvement. All in all, a good game.

+ Beautiful Italy
+ You can swim (and dive in from rooftops, yippee!)
+ Puzzles (from subject 16)
+ A lot to do...
- ...of which only 60-70% is interesting
- Damn those Hollywood-cliches for making into these games
- You still can't skip the cutscenes :(

This is his story - and it is awesome !!!

Im a Fussy player and get bored of games quite easy but A C 2 Griped Me From The Start with Days Of Game play Weeks If u have the patients to do all the side missions its well worth the price. only 1 downfall but not a major disappointment is the stealth i was expecting more but if they add more stealth to A C 3 then they should have another winner on there hands.

 One of 2009 best game

This is one of the best games to come out in 2009 much better than the first one. there is so much more you can do more customization and more weapons i would give this game a baftta.
