this game is great just great one of the best it is worth every penny
I was really looking forward to this game for ages and when I finally got it I was so disappointed that I sold it more or less straight away. There are no crash events in this game and the replacement events are absolute crap.Every time you crash there is a cut scene instead of real time crashing which gets really annoying. The only thing this game has going for it is the graphics, i think i will just stick to Burnout Revenge on the 360 its still far more superior to this one. Also the music for Paradise is really crap which shouldn't really matter, but in this case it does as it is really off putting compared to the Revenge sound track. Unless you want another mundane driving game DON'T BUY THIS!!! Its just not Burnout as we know it.
I was skeptical about the free form layout but apart from no map jumping (to get back to the start of a race or to a race on the otherside of the game world) this game is great. Fast, Fun and exciting. Point of note when you need to do the burning lap for a car it is the only one with the star in it (So you don't have to check everyone). Multiplay online easy to get to and navigate. The graphics and car deformations are incredible. The ultimate racing game as when you are on top it is a rush and when you crash out you get to watch your car disintergrate in style. There is no bad side. The music as people have complained about I find personally it is good (and can be switched off) as it is all fast aggressive music to get you in the frame of mind to navigate a 3 mile course at what seems like almost the speed of sound. A PS3 Must Buy
You have arrived in Paradise City!
Paradise indeed, crash and burn!!....
Bought my 60gb PS3 a week ago and hooked it up online Friday night. First thing I did was download the demo for Burnout Paradise. OMG! Instant addiction! Hours of fun guaranteed!
Even though the demo only gives you a restricted map in "Freeburn" mode, there is still plenty to get your teeth into and to wet the appitite for the full version.
Always been a fan of the previous Burnout versions on the PS2, but this looks something very special.
If you have never played Burnout before, you have been missing out. If you like "pure" racing games and pimping up your ride with the latest racing colours, then this may not be for you, but if you like something off the wall and a bit different where the emphasis is as much on "taking down" the opposition as much as racing them, you will love it!
The slow motion scenes of crashes and "online" demo game are excellent. Upto 8 people simultaneously battling against each other for the best "takedown", drift, jump etc.
For me, This is a must buy game! (Pre-order already placed by yours truely :-) )
1. No driver
2. Car has 9 gears
3. you can get into an eternal drift if you get into a dohnut with the brake. (i got a 7000m drift)
4. as long as your chassis is intact and your car lands on its wheels you dont crash
apart from that its sick and im gonna get it, its so clever aswell how they put online on the demo (BRILLIANT).
