Rage is a groundbreaking first-person shooter set in the not-too-distant future after an asteroid impacts Earth, leaving a ravaged world behind. You emerge into this vast wasteland to discover humanity working to rebuild itself against such forces as bandit gangs, mutants, and the Authority - an oppressive government regime that has a special interest in you in particular. Featuring intense first-person shooter action, breakneck vehicle combat, an expansive world to explore and jaw-dropping graphics powered by id's revolutionary id Tech 5 technology, Rage promises an experience like no other.

Story Overview:
Fearing a planet-wide extinction from a massive asteroid headed towards Earth, world leaders are faced with the inexorable task of ensuring human survival. Left with few alternatives, life-sustaining pods filled with select people are buried deep beneath the earth's surface. You are one of the chosen members of these modern day arks and abruptly enter the Rage universe after surfacing alone. Leaving you to your own devices to stay alive in a world filled with those who prefer you dead, Rage combines powerful storytelling with heart-pounding action.

  • Rage: Anarchy Edition Includes:
  • Double Barrel Shotgun: Wasteland settler design and ingenuity! Features compact form factor with plenty of muscle to take out everything from mutants, bandits and maybe even a lone Authority Enforcer
  • Crimson Elite Armour This is the most sought-after armour in the wasteland. Constructed of hardened plate armour, this gear was created specifically to withstand the toughest wasteland battles. It also features larger component storage, allowing you to carry more parts that will aid in the fabrication of advanced engineering items
  • Fists Of Rage A classic weapon for close quarters combat. When you've run out of ammunition and fists are the only option, these razor sharp knuckle blades will give you that combat edge
  • Rat Rod Buggy Improve your odds of survival in the wasteland with this vehicle that comes equipped with a front smash guard and durable protection

  • Game Features:
  • Visceral 1st-person gunplay and exploration: Take on bandit gangs and hordes of mutants using an arsenal of exotic weapons and special items, such as wingsticks, personal turrets, sentry bots, and remote-controlled bomb cars
  • Frenetic 3rd-person vehicular mayhem: Burn rubber across the wasteland in your very own super buggy! Upgrade and customize your car with special parts, paint jobs and weapons, then test your skills as you battle four-wheeling bandit clans and participate in deadly races
  • Three ways to play for unlimited action: Immerse yourself in a rich story-driven single-player experience, grab a friend for exclusive co-op modes, or go online for all-out multiplayer mayhem
  • An expansive experience: Beyond the first-person action and vehicle combat, Rage offers a world open to explore, with unique characters, side quests, and a compelling storyline
  • Graphics that have to be seen to be believed: Powered by id's cutting-edge new id Tech 5 engine, new Megatexture technology brings the vast wasteland to life in never-before- possible detail with action running at an astounding 60 frames per second

Top 100 Games Reviewer

this is a good fun rpg yes if you just did the main story and only the main story it wouldn't be a long game but these kind of are about so much more its the exploring the hidden items the side quests the race championships if you get involed and do the game right you'll find a good 15 hours plus rpg wise this might not sound long but the game has a lot of good points which more than makes up for it with a solid story good weapons and extras like turrets ,bots, rc bombs etc and good flow through the game good action and levels well worth it yeah its no final fantasy length but these games are what you make them

This is not a role playing game! Just because you do a few quest off a job board! think bugstheda doesn't know the difference between easy and nightmare! Nightmare? The whole game is a nightmare should of never been released. I must of counted a total of 5 different enemies. Racing is totally irrelevant to the game. And the music well what can I say..........tacky american. One word of advice don't waste the next 10 hours of your life!! Shame I have to give it one star.

 Rage on a budget!

So, I bourght this without knowing too much about it. I knew it was made by Id and Bethesda and the pics I saw kinda reminded me of Fallout 3 (win). A couple of my mates liked it, nature took its course, I got it. As my title says, (I think) it's pretty darn good. Like I thought, it kinda has that Fallout feel to it, except it isn't as "open". Although there are parts for you to explore, it's quite linear, so don't expect hours or free-roaming. One thing that really bugged me about the game was the lack of checkpoint saving. Several times I played through a sizable chunk of a mission, only to be shot dead and have to do the whole mission again. Yeah, I hear what you're saying...I should have manually saved when I had the chance. But the manual save process takes a while, and in the heat of the moment, fresh out of battle and when the blood is pumping, you don't always remember to save straight away. More fool me!

It's a good game. The graphics are great and the action is excellent. For the price, you could do a lot worse!
