I really don't know how to put this, I am seriously lost for words! I mean i played the first one and at that time i thought it was a superb action adventure game (it felt like I was Indiana Jones in the temple of doom) And then along comes uncharted 2 and to put it simple I have lost many hours In sleep, socializing with the missus after work, its just eat uncharted, drink uncharted and sleep uncharted. Its at a stage where its dream uncharted too lol... AMAZING....

I actually own a PS3 and Xbox 360 (And no i am not a fan boy but simply a gamer who loves games before anyone starts pointing fingers), I have to admit I play most of my games on the 360 because of live and friends etc... but let me tell you, this game really shows what the PS3 is capable of doing performance and graphics wise.... well basically it blew my 360 out of the water hands down.

Graphics are stunning and very impressive

Sound is great including the voice acting of all the characters and the music theme is done superbly

Controls are easy and the camera view is perfect

The story line really draws you into the game It just blew me away right from the word go

Game play is fantastic, some of you guys may agree I thought I was Sam fisher at times when sneaking behind enemy troops and snapping their necks without alerting the others and at other times I felt I was Solid Snake.... it felt great...

Atmosphere is really life like with snow, mountains, rain and rivers etc...

Honestly can't say a bad word about this game, it has thoroughly satisfied me all the way to the end, however I wish the ride could have lasted another 20 hours LoL... meh maybe in uncharted 3....

All in all this game deserves the 5 ***** all the way BUY IT

 Best PS3 game yet?........

...... I would say it has to come close, I have only been playing for around 3 hours and I am up to chapter 6. I cant even put into words how impressed am I with this game, just when I think it cant get any better, something will happen I will sit back and just think wow. I know alot of people always say this about games but this is really like sitting through an amazing film which you get to control. The graphics are so clear, beautiful and life-like, the story is epic and it is just all round brilliant, if I could give 10 stars then I probably would. I love how the game begins, dont worry I am not going to give anything away. I cant wait to finish work and get back on it, you could easily sit down and play this game non stop start to finish, not because it is a short game (which it isn't at all) but because it just keeps you so hooked and seamlesley links levels from one to the next. It is and will be a classic. And to answer my question again, I have had all the best PS3 games to date and I can safely say that this is the best so far. Buy this game, if you dont have a PS3 yet then buy one if only to get this game and if you are unlucky enough to own a XBOX then sell it and get this. Brilliant brilliant brilliant.

You cannot own a PS3 and not have this game

This game is simply amazing - a pinnacle for PS3 games; there are many good games out there but this year (at least until now), Uncharted 2 beats them all. This game is so breath taking that you cannot help but stand amazed. Great visuals, great gameplay, good story, fantastic storyboard sequences, amazing graphics..........what can anyone expect more than this??

I liked the first Uncharted, but with this one they've gone over the top. A big round of applause for Naughty Dog. You can really see what a great job they have done.

Thanks Naughty Dog for the great games you deliver on the PS3; hope (for the gamers) that others follow your suite!

This is money really well spent. Don't hesitate to grab a copy of this game; Simply Amazing

Best. Looking. Game. Ever. Seriously. I know, its shallow to care so much about the visuals, but in this case the sumptuous graphics help a huge amount with establishing the sense of place and really help drive the sense that this is a believable world with all that entails. It can't really be overstated how good this game looks - the texturing is astounding, the lighting wonderful, the levels beautifully put together. The interplay of light and shade with the hugely naturalistic environments and some of the most lovely water effects you've ever seen all conspire to fill you with an incredible sense of 'Wow'. Certain levels like the Nepal temple or the snowy mountain stronghold are the absolute pinnacle of visual achievement. You can spend ages simply enjoying the world, the dust, the light the water, the frankly gloriously detailed texturing - the attention to detail is wonderful and the whole is massively atmospheric and engaging.

As with the first Drakes Fortune, the characters are still wonderfully realised - warm, funny, poignant, superbly acted. They're a wonderful catalyst for the globe trotting and suitably OTT story. Cinematics are nicely handled and slip neatly into game play segments, characters are never less than believable and wonderfully human lending a real extra dimension to the action. And what action! Always something different around the corner, either in terms of the environment or story interaction. There are some spectacular set pieces to enjoy and the combat is as accomplished as ever.

Its not all roses though - not hugely far removed the original in terms of the actual mechanics, Among Theives has inherited a few of the originals shortcomings. Combat does gradually start to get a little repetitive as the 'clear area, second wave of soldiers, clear area, third wave of soldiers' combat theme starts to grate. As with the original game, you'll occasionally feel a slight sag of disappointment as yet another troop of bad guys appears in an area you've just spent 5 minutes clearing. Occasionally this can feel completely unfair with armoured shotgun guys literally dropping on your head and killing you with one shot and grunts that can take an entire AK47 clip in the throat and still come back for more. The combat is generally well paced, but there are areas where the constant repetition starts to annoy more than thrill. That the action is occasionally peppered with enemies who are almost invincible to bullets means things get a little daft and occasionally more than a little frustrating

Generally at its best when you have time to enjoy the sumptuous surroundings, or when you're engaged in one of the pleasing puzzles, it's a shame the constant combat often becomes the focus at the expense of everything else. But this is pretty much nit picking though, this is a superb wonderful game and hard to give anything less than 5 stars - the whole package is one of the finest and most rewarding exploratory adventures available and deserves to be played.

 Beta Review: Outstanding.

Through play.com's pre-order system I got access to this online beta, and believe me when I say it may be the best thing I've ever played. The graphics are completely mindblowing! Take MGS4 or Killzone 2 or any of these and forget them graphically, Uncharted 2 is clearly the new benchmark.

The matchmaking system for this multiplayer beta is a bit rough. It can take minutes to find a game sometimes, so much so that I've been forced to quit and go play something else, but once you're into a game it's definitely worth it. With a climbing system very similar to the original game and maps that have clearly been laboured over you get a completely different online experience to anything else.

One level sees you in some kind of Chinese village in the pelting rain where you have a choice of sticking to the ground, running between cover (the cover system being very similar to the last game, and 360's Gears of War) or you can go high, using your climbing abilities to get to great sniping oppurtunities.

Even watching the trailer for the singleplayer got me all excited. This is going to be the Playstation's definitive title of 2009, and if you don't own it then you're missing out. A must buy for me.
