Oh dear, what a huge dissapointment this is! The graphics mostly are superb and features a wide range of gameplay styles...but that's where the praise ends. Cue the cons: Very bad controls really make the game suffer, why were they altered from the previous games??? There is not nearly as many moves as in the other games and another big problem is that cut-scenes and commentary (which can be funny at times) repeat themselves far too often. One small thing is that a bloodied wrestler can suddenly be back to normal, what's that about? My own personal annoyance is that the instruction manual is wafer thin and useless if you are new to the games...sadly it's another failed glimmer of hope in the PS3's dodgy release. I very nearly gave it 2 stars, but,it can be fun and it also has network play.

i got this game on saturday and i won my forst match as jeff hardy, and i toughed it out instead of watching the video's.

a few things that are a major dissapointment
- season mode is now 24/7 mode and is more complicated
- automatically regaining stamina
- butttons are very awquard
- same commentry as wwe smackdown vs raw 2007

still a must buy and if there is a next one they should change the commentry

excellent cast of charactors but a little on the short side

still a must but for any wwe fan

:}

Although not a disaster, there are too many things wrong with this game for me to give it anything more than 3 stars. I won't bore you by listing all of them, I will outline the major problem with the latest WWE title.

The new 24/7 season mode is a backward step from last year's PS2 release, which basically aims to combine last year's pointless GM mode with the career mode. As a Superstar, you are basically dragged through storylines which you have no impact on irrespective of your actions. There is no freedom to explore the backstage areas and carve out your own destiny and you feel as though you are going through the motions. Further to this there are instances where you receive voicemails and emails which mention your current feud, but get the name wrong of the wrestler you're feuding with! Furthermore, I am sick of being put into meaningless tag matches in wrestling games. I know this is a personal complaint and others may enjoy this aspect, and also it's not a problem specific to this game as it has happened in the last few WWE titles, but I would think that you would be given the choice of whether to be in a tag team or not.

Despite this major flaw (and many others), the gameplay is still good and multi-player modes will still provide you with hours of fun.

Overall, a little disappointing for the first WWE title on the PS3, but still worth a look for WWE fans. Hopefully the problems will be ironed out for next year.

I used to love wrestling back in the late 90's and early 00's, but when all the people from WCW and ECW came in at WWE Invasion back in 2001, that's when it started to go downhill. So from 2001, I went off wrestling for about 7 years and I now like it again. So when I bought this game for Christmas in 2007, I thought it was quality, the graphics are amazing, the gameplay is amazing and so are the controls. By the way it says on the back cover that the game features more than 100 different match types, it actually doesn't, it only has about 50 to 75 match types available at first play. Overall great game with alot of great wrestlers and ass kicking new features so grab yours now or whenever you can and that's the bottom line coz Stone Cold said so!!!

I was at a friends house when he dragged this out his cupboard. Put it on, and was hooked by the gameplay. Its much more realistic than 2007, less buggy, and overall better. The graphics were just awesome and the entrance themes were just so impressive. The weapon choices are just great and setting up a game is much easier and much faster so gaming overall is excellent.
The only problem i can find with this game, is the fact the the commentry is the same as the 2007 version. This was a let down, as the producers have spent so much time mking such a good game, to use the same commentry. Bar that, everything else is brilliant, and if i could give more than 5 stars i would definetly give 100 :)
A must buy for WWE fans.

Yes it has lots of interactive environments, yes it has good graphics but my god the gameplay is appauling. Is it really that hard to make a good wrestling game? They managed it on the N64, PS One and the PS2 so how has this happened. The grapple system and button setup is terrible and needs major re-working. I have heard the upcoming TNA game keeps to the old tried and tested system so i will be trying that. Traded this game straight back to the shop, awful.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars  buy it .... now!

This game is one of the few successes wwe games have had
the story line for career mode is way better and the hall of fame mode is cool. this is a game for people who never wanna put the controller down.

best graphics ever i own all the wwe games even ps1 ones but this has to beat them all smackdown, raw, ecw i am not one to disagree that wrestling is fake but tommy dreamer sandman batista in blu-ray hi-def its just a thrill like flaming barbwire bats tables that can be stacked on top of each other if u have 40 quid to spend buy this or if u have a nintendo that may be better for most people i stick to hi-def so this is a must buy JEFF HARDY WANTS YOU!!
