TNA iMPACT! Total Nonstop Action Wrestling

I went and bought my copy this morning and all i can say is ive never been so dissapointed in a game, first off after one hell of a long time installing you find that most of the wrestlers are locked and there is only one arena unlocked.
So much for simple controls they are rediculous. And when you start the story mode you feel as though your in a different game all togeather but not in a good way. And as for the matches no six sides of steel no lethal lockdown, no monsters ball and pleanty more missing. Which everyone has got to admit define tna for being different. And the only weapon is a steel chair.
I know the wwe games are a bit repetative these days but its beets this game by miles the only good thing in this game is the wrestlers look quite good, other than that it feels like your playing the original smackdown game from years and years ago. Save your money and wait for smackdown vs raw 2009 i wish i did. I have already thrown my version of tna in the bin cos thats the best place for it. Seriously

After being bored with WWE for the past few years, I was really looking forward to this - and I'm not disappointed. The wrestlers look great and move really well, controls are simple but deep once you get the hang of it. Ultimate X is a great idea, and the pictures of Christy Hemme are always welcome. A great new challenger in both real life and videogames!

This game was in trouble from the start with what it was up against. I know that s vs r games dont really change much from year to year but its the fact that wwe have a wider choice of matches better roster of wrestlers and just seem jam packed with different features. Tna does lack content and a good roster but sort off makes up for this with gameplay as when playing the game it feels a lot more realistic eventhough there isnt a wide range of moves you can pull off. Theres a really crisp look to the game aswell as the visuals are fantastic and are not matched by what ive seen of this years upcoming s vs r game. The best thing about this game are the little touches in the gameplay that make it more real for instance if you irish whip someone into the stairs they actually flip over them as if on the real programme. And when you slam your apponant onto the ring from ether a high flying move or from the ultimate x wires the imact looks so much more like real life. If this game had more choice of match style a lower difficulty level more wepons and the most critical thing in todays wrestling games. Some blood and gore it would have scored a far better number than 3 which hopefully will be worked on if they create a sequel. But as the new smackdown is coming out soon and s vs r 2008 contain more content this game will be passed on to the preowned section of my local game store and lie there to rust away for evermore.

If you go by what Midway and TNA have been saying then this game should be amazing.....but unfortunately its really not!! 1st of all the entrance for the wrestlers is really disappointing. On Smackdown v Raw you get the full entrance, TNA you get a short clip of about 10 seconds! I can't begin to explain how much of a let down this game is, and I'm not even a die hard TNA fan. Feel sorry for all the true fans you have let down Midway!!!

Let me start by saying this is the worst wrestling game I have ever played. I was really looking forward to TNA coming out as I am a big fan and prefer it to WWE. But what a disapointment. The graphics are ok, the gameplay is terrible. Alot of bugs and glitches need to be sorted on this game. The storey mode is good and well entertaining. Do not waste your money on this game!
