Downloaded the demo last week and had to double check it was the ps3 demo as the game plays like a ps2 game rather than next gen.

The ball is glued to the players feet with no control, the gameplay is much slower than real football and the names on the back of the shirts seem to have been written from someone at nursery.

If you don't like football and want something easy to win on, then look no further

Bought fifa 10 after i enjoyed the demo and thought fifa 09 was a good game. Fifa 10 is somehow different to its demo and is worse than both fifa 09 and the fifa 10 demo.

Everytime i come to either slide tackle or stand tackle someone the ball ALWAYS seems to find the feet of the oppenent. Having a quick player means nothing as he will almost certainly get cought by a league 2 player weighing about 20 stone and get barged off the ball, you do anything similar and the refferee will give the oposition a free kick. And when the ball come into either penalty area it is a game of pinball as the ball rickershades all over the place, deflected goals happen far to often as the "pinball" effect is all too common.

Celerbrations are the same as the preivous fifa and live seasons is not free, you now have to buy it from the store, (yet another EA money grabbing scheme).

In manager mode i was playing as united and i wanted to sign a winger and nobody wanted to come to the club because i wasnt "prestiges"enough. FFS IM UNITED.

Alot of people saying that it is "amazing" and "the best fifa ever". They need to open there eyes and see what EA are doing and ruining what once was a perectly good game. My copy of fifa 10 is going straight on an auction site and i will no longer purchase EA games.

Same again.. Fifa need to improve the keeper.. Its so easy to score.. I've had like 5 games and its just too easy.. Surely the keepers should also improve along with everyone else, it seems as though they've got the same keepers from fifa 1999

Customer rating: 1 out of 5 stars  So...what's different?

I still had the FIFA 09 demo on my system from last year, and after playing the 10 demo i still can't see what's changed (appart from which teams you can go in the demo) The movements are so slow and it feels like an age passes between the time you press a button to the time the player finally responds with a movement or kick of some kind. Graphics still look like images stuck to the same model for every character, kits look rubbery (and considering it's fully licensed...wrong).
But it's also too easy...i play on the hardest difficulty and can win comfortably after playing only a few matches.
Everyone seems to get blinded by the ammount of content in the FIFA games and forgets to concentrate on what it is...a football game, it doesn't matter how many teams there are, or stadiums what matters is the football. And this is where the game is let down.
Fifa was the best in the late 90's early 00's but somewhere around 01-03 they lost it, they're battling, but still way off

Prior to buying Fifa 10 the last Fifa game i had played was Fifa 08 for the Playstation 2, which i thoroughly enjoyed. Having purchased a PS3 i looked forward to buying the new Fifa 10. I downloaded the demo for the game from the Playstation Store and felt the game was very good and eagerly awaited it's release.

However after now owning the game for almost a week, i can quite confidently say that i am appalled at how poor quality it is, due to the number of bugs and faults.

To score goals is frustratingly hard. All keepers on the game now suddenly seem to have the goal keeping skills of Buffon and this is only on semi-pro difficulty (the second difficulty level), saving shot after shot.

Shots also hit the woodwork in every single match, making what should be an ocassional dramatic moment into an improbable absurdity. These issues take a lot of the enjoyment out of playing the game.

Players get injured in every other game you play, especially in manager mode. However the only injury my players constantly get is whiplash and they are out for one game only.

Playing as Tottenham on manager mode, the striker Roman Pavlyuchenko scored altogether at least 6 or 7 goals, with at least a hat trick in one match. Yet the player statistics show him as only scoring 2 for some reason and it is never updated.

The referees are stupid. Giving out free kicks for every single tackle and constantly getting in the way of the ball. That isn't to mention the assistant manager on manager mode, who is laughable. Placing players out of position and assigning players who have low fatigue.

There are no events for manager mode that come up like on the old ps2 version, e.g. players unavailable due to international friendlies, different decisions you have to make regarding players etc. It's all very shallow and there is nothing to it.

There is a ton of other things that i could write about. I am not the only one experiencing these issues.

A visit to the EA Fifa 10 website should illustrate that i am not the only one, with many users discussing the same problems. One user on the EA website in particular has compiled a list of 50 bugs, many of which i've encountered myself.

I am also unable to connect to play with my friend online and the EA server reliability is very poor.

The one good thing i can thing of is that the graphics are pretty good. However this is far outweighed by the bad quality of the overall gameplay.

My advice is to save your money and do not buy this game. I am very disappointed and annoyed. I feel foolish for believing the hype spouted by EA about this game, which is infact a complete disgrace. I will not be buying Fifa 11.

The only people who dislike this game are people who used to just give the ball to a Ronaldo and just run. They cant do that and get away with it anymore and thats why they dont like it.

The game is simply brilliant, much more responsive than 09, 360 dribbling is superb, passing extremely fluid. I have no gripes with the game whatsoever and it makes Pes feel amatuerish and i was a big Pes fan up until Pes 08.

I played the demo prior to release and I was reasonably impressed. However, I firstly want to make clear that THIS GAME IS NOTHING LIKE THE DEMO. So if you choose to part with £40 on the strength of it then you will, perhaps, be disappointed.

The problem with this game, in my opinion, is to do with two things. The first is that there isn't a difficulty level that suits someone who is able to play the computer reasonably aggressively but, on the other hand, is not one of the die-hards you might happen to meet online who will beat you 10-0 every time.

On Professional difficulty, it is too easy to rob the computer of the ball (particularly the last defender), but at the same time it is simply too much of a toil to score. Many reviewers say you have to pass the ball and work an opening, but I have to say that even doing this results in a very frustrating experience. I only play 5 minute halves, and I regularly find that I can play two or three matches in succession without managing to score. If I do, then it is invariably due to the "robbing the last defender" scenario, which isn't a very satisfying way to score.

Increasing the difficulty to World Class results in a more challenging defensive experience, but the computer's defensive capability becomes spitefully hard. You get nanoseconds to decide what to do when you have the ball, you cannot outrun opposition defenders, passes around the edge of the penalty area whilst trying to "work the openings" are almost always snuffed out, and the computer seems to be able to hold your players off when you challenge for the ball - something you do not seem to have the option to do when in possession yourself.

The second issue is perhaps most frustrating of all. After having persevered and battled through the above spiteful frustrations and you find yourself bearing down on goal, the shooting system totally lets you down. I expected the 360 controller movement to enhance the placing of shots. However, despite the fact the goal is 18 feet wide, every shot seems to be fired straight at the 3 foot window either side of the goalkeeper, regardless of where you push the stick. On the replays it is clear that even when you score, the ball goes under the keeper's arm or under his body; the ball rarely flies into the part of the goal that is out of his reach.

So when you eventually bear down on goal, the keepers make unlikely point blank range blocks more frequently than is perhaps realistic or fair (given the effort you have put in to get into that position). The only reliable way to score is to build up your attack to such an extent that you are squaring the ball for a teamate to tap-in to an open goal. To do this is particularly hard, and when playing 5 minute halves you will find yourself grinding out 0-0 draws on a regular basis.

This is a game. It is played for enjoyment after a tough day at work, and I think EA have pandered to the hardcore in making this unfairly difficult and frustrating to the point that a goal no longer brings enjoyment. It simply takes the edge off the boiling annoyance that has built up inside you from being persistently outwitted by the computer through jaw-droppingly unfair AI.

Unfortunately PES 2010 didn't look too good either for different reasons. It's disappointing there are no challenging but ultimately rewarding football games out this year.

I havent yet played the demo but i have seen my mates have a match on it and my words for the gameplay compared to fifa 09 is outstanding and brilliant. The graphics have been improved even though i believed that they couldnt get better from fifa 10 and there are new modes of gameplay where you can create a player and instead of just be a pro season mode, you can set him up in any gameplay mode that you please of and build his stats on them

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars  Phenomonal.

Anyone who is giving this game a rating below 5 stars is a PES fan or is just hating on the game. The virtual pro mode is brilliant as well as uploading your face. Realism with the new defense system based on strength and new tactics. PS. It has got all the kits for every team and way more players than PES as well as being a better gameplay game. What more do you want?
