O.K, everyone knows RTS are better on the PC, however that doesn't make them "rubbish" on other consoles, and this is surely a good example for letting RTS's onto Consoles.

The graphics firstly are really nice, especially the water; the graphics have been vamped up abit more than the xbox version due to the specs of the console.

The controls are really well done, nice and smooth once you get used to the feel and get to know how to use all the commands.
(So unlike the person below, who had done a review not even after a day of playing, obviously hasn't given it enough chance, and practice to get used to the controls).

It has Tutorials to get you started, then you can jump straight into a skirmish (playing against the computer, or go online and face people)
or go into campaign, which is a great challenge which will give you lots of fun for hours; or even go online and team up with friends to co-op the campaign together!

As for the bonus features; that really is a big bonus having the whole soundtrack to play, watch bloopers, or the cast.

I give this game 5*'s and suggest anyone planning to buy this game, to give it at least a week before thinking this game is not good, as it takes alittle time to get used to.

I hope my opinion in this review has helped.

           Not a patch on Generals

I waited so long for this to come out as I was still making do with Generals and Zero Hour on my PC, both of which I've had since new so quite a few years. I still love both those games so when they announced initially that C&C was being cancelled on the PS3 and only coming out on the X-Box I was gutted. I was over the moon when it was announced that it was back on again so I waited eagerly for release.
To get to the point, this game is just not anything more than average (That is me being generous as it is quite easily just simply rubbish). It just doesn't 'flow' like the other games did. The controls are rubbish and don't need to be anything more than the C&C games on the PSOne had but by trying to be dynamic and quick access, they fail and make it nothing other than over complicated and leaving you wide open to mistakes which then need cancelling and rectifying which then takes longer and causes mishaps on the battlefield. The build menus appear in the middle of the screen for flip sake! This covers all the action! If they had kept it simple, this game might have worked. I previously had Red Alert and Retaliation aswell and loved them both, they both had nice simple controls and inventory windows etc. If it ain't broke, why fix it? EA did an amazing job on Generals and I love it so I was expecting great things from their latest game. It almost seems like they've tried too hard to give every unit a weakness so there are therefore not really any good units that last any time in the field. The CPU opponants are forever bombarding you with attacks from outer space which cannot be avoided and it is impossible to keep tabs on your base. The old games were designed to keep you sat there and think about the battle and what strategy you wanted to use therefore keeping you sat there for a while and getting you involved in the game. This game wants you to hurry hurry hurry. The buildings do not look like real buildings and are difficult to distinguish from one another.
In short, the maps are rubbish. The campaigns are rubbish. All the units you can build are rubbish (dolphins with sonar cannons and grizzly bears???? Come on EA were you drunk?), even the supposedly better more realistic units are rubbish and.......well just rubbish. The game just isn't playable. I played it for a couple of weeks thinking I must be missing something as surely EA are usually quite good and I loved all the other games (even down to the original Dune), but I have come to the conclusion that this game just isn't any good and even the best people have off days. Needless to say that I am no longer playing this game and have gone back to Zero Hour on my 5 year old PC.

          EPIC FAIL!!!!

           What a let down !!!!

I took delivery today and popped it into my consol expecting this to be the bees knees how shocked I was. The graphics a truely terrible. Considering the power of the PS3 you only get a grainy 720P. I tried the first mission and found the controls hard to master. These type of games are meant for the PC only and untill the major consols can master the art they should just leave them alone. My advise is to buy this for the PC only and its not worth all this money for a substandard try by Sony to get it onto the PS3.

Finally A Real Time Strategy Game On The PS3, With So Much!!

First off the last one of these I played was on the playstation one & I thought they were great, So I downloaded them from the playstation store & still classic. This new edition to the command & conquer series pushes the boundaries with the loads of extras you get with more weapons, buildings & fight tactics. Was disapointed that the graphics on the back of case displayed 720P instead of them promising 1080P!!! I didnt buy a samsung flat screen for nothing ya know lol. Other than that the rest of it's good, you get 9 missions from soviets, allies & the rising sun & with it's online feature instead of hooking up the 2 TV's back in the day you can play your mates online using custom mode : ). Overall worth getting because I feel there won't be another RTS game for awhile & I don't think you could make the graphics any better with this type of game design it's just a aerial view game. Compaired to C&C Tiberium Wars this game is more bright & colourful n cartoonish. Information on back of case: 1 Player, HDD = 4.8GB to your harddrive, Dualshock 3, PAL, HD 720P, Network Features & Network Players 2 - 4.
