Review

On his 21st birthday, the awesome and terrible powers of the Darkness awaken within Jackie Estacado, a mafia hitman for the Franchetti crime family. With his new powers, Jackie is able to wreak terrifying havoc on his enemies. Jackie must learn to fully command the Darkness so he can take back control of the Franchetti family, which is ruled by his uncle Paulie, a despicable man who is almost universally despised.

I lost hours in this game over Winter 2009. It's immersive, fascinating & fun - the graphics are solid & very good in places, the sound effects and soundtrack are really cool & the storyline is truly addictive. I played the World War 1 episode in the middle of the night on my plasma & talk about atmospheric & frightening, soooo good. I was sorry to complete the game as I just wanted it to go on & on. Thoroughly recommended to all, especially at the price you can get it for these days.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT GAME, A BIT BORING IN PLACES

I have just completed the game and I have to say it is superb.
Its not your usual FPS, its completely story driven, besides following the main storyline there are loads of extras to find and side missions to complete (which to be fair can be a bit annoying at times especially the old lady who thinks it funny when you get knocked down by the train while picking up her coins). Graphics are pretty good not up to todays standard by any means, sound is good. Overall is a pretty engrosing game, a lot of thought as gone into the characters and storyline. This game isn't for everyone though, if you like your COD, Haze and Resistance this game may be a little too slow for you taste. My only real critism is that some levels are a bit boring and the cut loading scenes are frustrating at times.

Customer rating: 3 out of 5 stars Decent game, as stated by others; this game lacks "polish"

Overall a decent game (for £5.99 nobody can complain) but the graphics and controls seem a tad rough and that is where it is let down. But on the postive the game play is good and the story is excellent. Is Jackie a bad guy? The darklings and co add something to this fps also, otherwise I would have rated it two stars, overall Bioshock it aint, but definitely worth your time.
