Take to the skies in Medal of Honor: Airborne, where you'll drop into grueling ground attacks in a bid to turn the tide of WWII. Begin each mission in the air above Axis controlled battlefields, then make your mark in the largest airborne operations in history. Starting with your jump from a C-47 transport plane, every choice you make can seal your fate. In the air, control your parachute to select a landing spot that brings you the greatest strategic advantage. Follow the green smoke to recommended landing areas where Allied forces will be waiting, or go it alone by landing on rooftops or balconies. But craft your strategy carefully: every move you make-from your choice of landing spot to the enemies you engage on the ground-will determine your success in the mission, and whether or not you are truly one of the Airborne elite.

Open Battlefields: Start each mission with an airdrop into enemy territory where the landing spot you choose can dramatically change the course of battle. On the ground, tackle enemies and complete objectives in whatever order you chose as your navigate your way through a massive, free-roaming environment.

Vertical Combat: Fight on the ground or atop roofs, balconies, towers, ruins, and natural formations in a variety of environments authentic to the European Theater of War.

Affordance AI: A formidable new AI system delivers unpredictable and intelligent enemies which challenge even your most battle-hardened strategies.

Upgradeable Weapons: For the first time, enhance your chosen weapon with authentic, customizable field modifications that affect your marksmanship.

War is Hell: How and where you engage the enemy triggers death animations unique to each and every encounter.

i bought this game a week early as my local shop had it in stock early and so decided to put it out on the shelves, i was reluctant to buy it at 1st but i made the right decision in buying it there and then in order to save hassle of buying at a later stage only to find out it will be sold out everywhere. The single player game is something else and definately rivals call of duty 4, haven't yet tried online but i'm positive it won't disappoint, be sure to get this game!

There last few medal of honors where nothing new nothing special.

Along comes airborne that offers the chance to start and progress through the levels in any way you can. The choice is yours. If you land in one of the safety zones you'll start off the level easy, if you land in an enemy heavy zone the game will feel a lot more challenging.

Either way you go once you've landed you will be given various objectives to complete which can be completed in more or less any order you like again the choice is yours.

The levels themselves are quite big and offer a few different ways to tackle each objective either take on your enemies head on or look for vantage points to take your enemies out from a distance or sneak up behind them. There is a lot of freedom in the game.

Another addition to the game I liked was the chance to level up your weapons. the more enemies you kill with a certain gun the more the more powerful that weapon will become well up to three levels anyway which included better accuracy, bigger ammo clips, enhanced fire power etc. even better is that you carry these enhanced weapons along with you the harder difficulty levels.

The graphics aren't the best I've seen but they are still quite good especially on the environments.

Each level you will also find 5 bonus drop zones for you to test you skills.

This is a great first person shooter that offers a lot of freedom and can be quite challenging in places leveling up your weapons can be fun and also a challenge to themselves. If I was to pick faults with the game it would be its graphics and although levels can last you quite a while there isn't a great deal of them to play through. A very good game that you can pick up very cheap now.

I eagerly awaited the release of this title but I was very dissapointed when I started playing it. The graphics are good as you would expect from EA on the PS3 but the single player game seems very Multiplayer in its style. There are lots of enemies flying at you from all over the screen and it is very hard to avoid getting killed, meaning you respawn all the time and you loose a sense of emersion into the gameplay. There are a couple of nice touches though, the ability to parachute into different areas of the level are good and also the ability to upgrade your weapons. The multiplayer is ok but it does not seem like many people are playing it as it takes a long time to find a game and then populate it. This is no COD 4 beater.

On PS2 the MOH games where the ones i would alwat=ys anticipate but now its all COD but theres always room for one franchise to be devoted to WWII gaming and i feel this is one of those outstanding games that needs to be played. The campaign mode is very enjoyable and even though there are 4 mission listed, them mission are really long. Great game and hours of gameplay heaven. Enjoy

As a refreshing change from the recent cod series i was looking for something similar, so i tried airborne and found this game very enjoyable, this game offers you the ability to land in various zones so the difficulty of the levels starting point is up to you.

Once you have mastered landing from your parachute drop and entered a level you are be given various objectives to complete which can be completed in more or less any order you like, the choice is yours.

The graphics are a 10/10 the gameplay is 8/10 and the story is 7/10
The reason i have scored it this way is because the game is like cod franchise (apart from cod 3) in that its way too short which seems to happen a lot with these kind of games these days, however the story is a lot more linear and you and your team go from mission to mission in a tackle an area and move across the map method.

Online is amazing and very smooth with thus far no lag in the games i've played so far however there is a limit to players online which is my only bug bear.

That said it is a great game and is definately worth purchasing.

        Go buy and enjoy :=)
